Snow Lake’s Tyler Samborski reports that on Jan. 13, local Lions Club members joined (in Cranberry Portage) with others from the North taking part in the Journey for Sight fundraiser.

The group travelled from Flin Flon to Brandon. Local riders were Tyler and Jason Samborski, and Glen Bartley took part as a driver.

“We rode a total of 836 km, with overnight stops in The Pas, Swan River and Shoal Lake,” Samborski recounted. “We ended our ride in Brandon on Saturday, Jan.16.

“Snow Lake’s fundraising this year is just over $3,000 and will hopefully be $4,000 when complete.”

Since 1983 the Journey for Sight has raised close to $2.2 million for the Lions Eye Bank.

My Take on Snow Lake is published on Fridays.
