Over 150 locals took in the Snow Lake Christian Centre Fellowship’s Annual Fall Supper.
In addition to a fine fall meal, attendees were treated to entertainment by 11 adults and 13 youth from their sister church in Newton, Manitoba.
This was the 41st year for the fall supper and the 32nd year that the Newton folks have been involved. It certainly has everyone anticipating next year’s event.
Additionally, local results in the recent federal election saw a total of 445 votes cast (up from 391 in the 2011 election).
The results of the advance (90 votes) and Election Day polls were: Kyle Mirecki (Conservatives), 167; Rebecca Chartrand, Liberals, 134; Niki Ashton, NDP, 114; August Hastmann, Green Party, 21; and Zachary Linnick, Libertarian Party, 6. There were three rejected ballots.
