It is that time of the year again: the council of the Town of Snow Lake has begun the 2016 budgetary process.
Two meetings occurred on Jan. 12 and Jan. 26. The administration and finance committee has been reviewing all budgetary requests from community organizations.
Regarding the 2016 payment in lieu of taxes from Hudbay, there has been an open line of communication, but they are unable to reveal any details at this time.
Also, Snow Lake Chamber of Commerce president Gerard Lamontagne advises that every major business in town is now included in the chamber’s membership.
As well, he says plans for their May trade show are firming up nicely.
