We recently had the pleasure of spending time in your lovely city as part of the Northern Juried Art Show.
As professionals in the visual art field, we often get the opportunity to visit various cities and explore creative enclaves. We want to commend the people of Flin Flon for their incredible volunteerism, community support for the arts, extraordinary number of creative artists and the important work done through the NorVa Centre.
We know the coordination and commitment to the arts entailed in organizing an annual exhibition that attracts participation by the region at large.
We were delighted to see so much good work, which unfortunately exceeded the number of prizes we were able to give out as the 2017 NORMAN Arts Jury.
The volume of participation of all ages, including the tremendous showing by students in this year’s exhibit, is a testament to the high value placed on the creative arts in Flin Flon.
It was impressive to see local businesses, community and artists all working together, and enthusiastically, for a shared goal. We will not forget our time in Flin Flon.
