Editor: The Family Resource Centre Committee would like to extend our support for the proposed Flin Flon/Creighton Community Plex. The inclusion of a Family Resource Centre in a community central meeting place would benefit many families on many levels. It would act as a common information depot where families in local and surrounding communities could access information about the many child and families activities and organizations already located in their areas. It would offer quality temporary child care and additional resource information to surrounding First Nations communities coming to town. It would benefit the health and welfare of all through allowing parents the opportunity to participate in the many health and wellness, arts and recreational opportunities which would be available in the Community Plex while their children receive professional child care and/or exciting programming opportunities.
