Dear Editor, In regards to the article about the unsafe use of ATVs in surrounding area, yes, I agree, there are unsafe drivers out there, but it's like saying everyone who drives any motorized vehicle such as a truck, car, skidoo, boat or anything with a motor is unsafe. That is not true. The percentage is fairly low. On some token, I agree there should be rules to govern ATVs just like any other motorized vehicle, such as: 1. Nobody under the age of 12 driving 2. Safety helmet 3. Safety course 4. Some knowledge of impact on environment 5. Should have route for us to get from Point A to B. I live on Third Avenue and have to load my quad onto my truck or trailer just to get up or down the hill to get to one of the trails. 6. Have machines with safety equipment such as headlights, reflectors, etc. To end this letter, I would like to ask members of the Snowmobile Club to join with us, the ATV users, in order that we can make both sports safer and improve the trails. Let's face it, it is to the point where there will be more ATVs than snow machines in the future. Let's work together. Ð Cyr Geneau
