Does anyone care? This letter is in response to an article I read in last week's paper about the feasibility study concerning Creighton creating their own high school. Has anyone thought about the impact this will have on both communities? First, the Flin Flon high schools would lose over 100 students, which would affect course selections, sports teams, and money for facilities for students. Students in Flin Flon and Creighton would no longer get to know each other. Our daughters who have attended Hapnot have made many friends from Creighton that they met through school. Can't our two communities work together so that each gets what it needs without losing what we have? For instance, why don't we have at least one Creighton resident on the Flin Flon school board? They pay for every student they send to our school system and deserve some say. Can the Flin Flon school board explain the issues that Creighton is not happy about? How can we meet the needs of their students so that we can keep two strong high schools, Hapnot and Many Faces. Sincerely, Clarence Pettersen
