Letter to the Editor

Dear Editor, This is an open letter to the mayor and council of Creighton: Good morning, Mr.

Dear Editor,
This is an open letter to the mayor and council of Creighton:
Good morning, Mr. Mayor and Council,
I just read a copy of the Regina Leader-Post that discusses the town of Creighton still being in the running for a nuclear waste repository.
I am shocked and dismayed that the mayor, Bruce Fidler, states, “I’m very happy, very excited” about the prospect of Creighton still being considered.
Mayor Fidler, you should be deeply afraid and concerned!
The prospect of nuclear waste should not be up to one small community, but rather the decision of ALL residents of Saskatchewan.
The message from the majority of Saskatchewan people is “NO Nuclear” and NO means NO!!!
Mayor Fidler, have you put this question out to all of your residents: “Am I okay with nuclear?” Listen to the majority of the people from your community and ALL of Saskatchewan.
No doubt you have been watching and listening to the people and groups speaking out against the Nuclear Waste Management Organization (NWMO) and the nuclear waste repository in Pinehouse and English River, Saskatchewan.
Please do not think for one minute that these people and groups are going away anytime soon.
If their positions and voices can be heard in Pinehouse and English River, they can and will be heard in Creighton.
Do the right thing and stand up against anything nuclear!
Respectfully submitted,
Robert Walker
Christopher Lake, Saskatchewan
