Editor: I am writing in regards to the complex which is in the planning stage and most of us know very little about it. I understand there have been meetings at the curling clubs plus City Hall. This project does not only include curlers. It will affect all our community, who will be paying big taxes. Yes, we need our pool repaired. But as far as a curling rink, our Uptown Rink has six sheets. What do we need another curling rink for? It has good revenue from hockey games. It has a good club atmosphere and needs very little repairs. Why not make it something to be proud of? Come on and let us know what is being planned for the complex as I feel it will be a big albatross around our neck. What will happen to our Community Hall? Everyone is canvassed out. Even the organizations are finding it hard to raise money. So where will all this extra money come from for the complex? High fees and taxes, I suppose. Ð Very Concerned
