Dear Editor: A separate high school for Creighton students you think? Consider the cost! I was on the school board when the idea for Many Faces was first conceived, I was chairman of the board when the school moved into its current location. My son graduated from Many Faces this past June and received his diploma. And I have an opinion. A high school in Creighton will adversely affect the level of educational services for all students in the Flin Flon/Creighton area. While the effect on Hapnot will be severe in terms of programs, it could mean the closure of Many Faces. Will there be room for three high schools in the area? I think in order to appreciate how far Many Faces has come and where it is headed, you would have to have been at the grad ceremonies last June. An incredible journey of success and growth for those who graduated from and for those who taught at the school. From a handful of students in the basement of the Friendship Centre to 56 grads this past year. Fifty-six separate lives who have their high school diplomas because this school embraced their individualism. Many Faces has been an inspiration and educational success story for many students over the past few years. A significant number of these students are from Creighton. What a shame if we were to lose this wonderful school. Somebody please explain to me how the loss of this school would benefit the students of the Creighton/Flin Flon area. What are the real savings. I am of the opinion the education business is more about creating opportunities than saving money. Thank you editor, Brent Lethbridge
