Trevor Miller It's pretty clear there is a racial divide here, but what to do about it is a question that would take a lot more than a short article could hope to address. The root cause is a general ignorance about our shared history, about things like what our treaties are, what they do and how they came to be. Education on these and other points is an essential element to any long-term solution, though obviously that is just a beginning; much more needs to be done by all of us to bridge the gap, but hopefully we'll get there eventually.
