Dear Editor, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those truck owners who have changed their ways. THANK YOU for keeping your "BEST FRIENDS" safe and warm inside the truck instead of in a cold, unsafe, illegal box. I was prompted to write after noting how many people have stopped this even though some dogs really enjoy it so much. Last week on a very cold and windy day on Main Street I saw a short-haired dog pitifully staring at me from the box of a truck. It broke my heart he was so cold and sad looking, he was definitely not having fun, but he was there unconditionally loving his master. What a friend! Ð An Animal Lover Pam Mitchell
