Trevor Miller Visiting the hospital today, I didn't see anything that gave me any indication our local health care is suffering at all. The incident in question does not reflect the professional conduct of the rest of the health region's personnel; our level of care compares very well with any region our size, and it's on par with what we got in the city, if not better for not being lost in the crowd. Focussing on what may or may not have happened between two physicians misses the real point that we are getting excellent care from our local health region. Ken Mansell This incident no doubt will damage the reputation of health care in Flin Flon for many years. I do not think staff should solve their problems with an altercation at work, do it out behind the barn (try the Whitney Forum). Now we can expect another round of inquiries and many hours of our CEO's time trying to figure out damage control and punishment. Severe, draconian measures must be taken by the CEO and the board of directors to ensure this never happens again. Denny Hyndman Of course this is problematic to our community even though some very good healers are working hard. It's totally appropriate that indefinite suspension is occurring and the NHR has done something positive for our community by doing so without pay. I don't view this as an isolated incident of toxicity. Moving forward by facing facts means tackling and dealing with certain issues _ that's life. I'm confident that care is on the rise and think it's great that issues are being examined.
