Con't from pg. 8 Lead Sheila Ritchat just began curling seriously in the last year or so; however, the other three have nearly lived in the rink since their early teens. Actually, Georgette Sicotte was the Third on the 1979 Junior Ladies Provincial Champion Curling team. That team, skipped by Wanda Kirby (Second Bev Evans, Lead Heather Dodds) won their Zone in The Pas, went through the Provincial competition undefeated and finished second overall at the nationals with a 7-3 record! Although all team members are quite modest about their chances at this year's Provincial competition Ð Cockle noted that it would be nice to get at least a couple of wins Ð the skill is certainly there to get these girls to the podium if the rocks all fall into place. Nevertheless, they say that they are on their way to Altona with a new team saying "Accept it, Embrace it, and move on!" and a theme song as well, "Raise your glass!"
