People at four seniors' housing facilities in Flin Flon will have a chance to get their first doses of COVID-19 vaccine next week.

According to a March 5 provincial announcement, residents at the Evergreen Block near the former Flin Flon Aqua Centre site, Legion Housing on Green Street, Hemlock Housing on Hemlock Drive and Rotary Court will be able to receive their first doses starting March 8. First doses for Hemlock and Rotary residents will be able to get their doses March 8, while Evergreen and Legion residences will be able to get doses March 9.

The four facilities are part of nine northern facilities - Kin Court, Northern View Lodge and the supportive housing at Northern View Lodge in The Pas, the Lynn Lake Hospital in Lynn Lake and Gillam Health Centre in Gillam - that will see vaccines offered next week as part of Manitoba's effort to immunize people in seniors' homes and "congregate living facilities".

Doses in Flin Flon have been previously offered to residents of the Northern Lights Manor and Flin Flon Personal Care Home and to health workers tasked with administering the doses and staff at the Flin Flon General Hospital and both the manor and care home.
