Two arrested after man stabbed to death in Pukatawagan

A 23-year-old man is dead following a stabbing Saturday morning in Pukatawagan.

According to an RCMP news release issued Jan. 5, police responded to a report of a stabbing at a Pukatawagan home around 10:40 a.m. Jan. 4. When RCMP arrived, officers found the man dead inside the home.

Police later arrested a 30-year-old man from The Pas, who faces charges of second degree murder in the 23-year-old man's death. The 30-year-old man is slated to make his first appearance in provincial court in The Pas Jan. 6. Police also arrested a 21-year-old woman, who remained in custody as of Jan. 5. It is unknown what charges the arrested female faces.

Neither the names of the victim or the two people arrested were released by RCMP.

Local RCMP in Pukatawagan continue to investigate the death, along with the provincial Major Crime Unit and Forensic Identification Unit.
