The reopening date for Ross Street has been pushed back into October after hang-ups with construction work at the site.

The street, extending from the intersection with Third Avenue to about halfway up the hill, will remain closed until October 1 at the earliest. Construction on water and sewer pipes underneath the street started earlier this summer and was originally set for an opening date of mid August. The portion of street where construction is taking place is directly in front of the City of Flin Flon-operated heating plant.

The existing detour, going from the halfway point of Ross Street to a side street near Foster Park, will remain in place until construction at the site is finished.
