The COVID-19 picture in the prairie provinces was almost a mirror image of its typical state Tuesday - new cases in Manitoba, but not in Saskatchewan.

Two new positive cases were reported in Manitoba in the 100th daily briefing released by the provincial government. Neither of the individuals are hospitalized. No Manitobans are currently in hospital with the disease.

No new recoveries from the disease were reported June 12. Manitoba has reported 297 total cases during the pandemic, with only 12 remaining active.

Meanwhile, Saskatchewan reported a huge uptick in recoveries from COVID-19. No new cases of the disease were reported June 2, but 14 people have been confirmed to have recovered from the disease. The province, which has reported a total of 602 cases during the outbreak, has only 33 remaining active cases.

Two people remain in hospital due to COVID-19. Both are currently in intensive care in Saskatoon.
