A summary of calls to local police from Oct. 20-Oct. 26, as submitted by Flin Flon RCMP:
Oct. 20
Report of an intoxicated person in the uptown area. Police patrolled the area and found a person nearby matching the description. The person saw police and tried to make a getaway. A thorough investigation revealed this person was the subject of complaint therefore they were arrested and lodged.
Report of a person in a local bar believed to be wanted by police. Checks indicated there were no warrants however the person is not supposed to be in Flin Flon as per a court order. Patrols were made but the person was not located.
Report of person passed out near the road. Police attended and found the person as described. The person was arrested and lodged in cells.
Report of an alleged assault. Matter under investigation.
Report of a possible impaired driver. Police located the suspect vehicle and identified the driver. The driver provided a breath sample into the roadside screening device which revealed the driver was over the legal limit. The driver was then arrested and brought to the detachment where further samples were obtained. The driver blew well over the legal limit and will be charged accordingly.
Report of children threatening each other with knives. Due to the age of the children (under 12) the matter was referred to Child and Family Services.
Report of a male youth committing robberies against other youths. The 15 year old robber was located the following morning and charged with two counts of robbery, two counts of uttering threats, breaching their court ordered conditions as well as possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose. The male was remanded into custody.
Report of an intoxicated person in the hospital cleared medically but too intoxicated to care for themselves. Police attended and the person was unable to provide a residence to go to therefore they were our guest for the evening
Oct. 21
911 call received, which was a misdial.
Report of a single vehicle collision. Police attended and conducted traffic control.
Report of an unwanted person banging on the door of a residence. Police located the unwanted person and reiterated to them not to return.
Police were requested to conduct a well-being check on a person. All was well.
Report of suspicious people knocking on a door. Police located a person matching the suspicious person’s description who advised they were just knocking on the door and nothing more.
Report of unwanted drinking in a residence. Police attended and arrested a youth who was intoxicated.
Oct. 22
Police attended with ambulance for an unknown situation which turned out to be a medical call.
Report of a child skipping school. Police attended and drove the truant child back to the learning academy.
Report of intoxicated person in some bushes. Police attended and found the person as described who was subsequently and lodged.
Report of person in hospital medically cleared but intoxicated and aggressive with staff. Police attended and the person was arrested and lodged.
Oct. 23
Report of a false 911 call from a residence.
Report of a custody dispute between parents.
Oct. 24
Report of an intoxicated person knocking on the door of a residence. Police attended but it would appear someone let the intoxicated person in.
Report of a missing child. The child was later located and taken back home.
Report of an assault at a local bar. Matter is under investigation.
Report of a group of people consuming alcohol in a back alley. Patrols made and the miscreants were not located.
Report of an intoxicated person who had fallen while trying to cross the street.
Person running late for an appointment pulled over and given a life lesson…..for shame!
Oct. 25
Report of intoxicated persons in a residence now passed out.
Report of a person in a residence despite being on a court order not to attend this particular residence. Matter under investigation.
Report of a domestic assault. Matter is under investigation.
Oct. 26
Report of suspicious activity involving a group of people in the uptown area.
Report of an assault at a local hotel. Matter under investigation
Report of an intoxicated person in a licenced establishment despite being on conditions to not attend any licensed establishment. Police located the subject of complaint who was charged with breaching their court ordered conditions. The person was arrested, charged and remanded in custody.
Report of a verbal argument between two parties at a residence where one of the parties opted to leave for the night. Reported for information purposes.
911 call received. The homeowner advised the call was placed in error
Report of a suspicious people in a suspicious vehicle acting suspiciously.
