Quiet April for Creighton RCMP includes Porta Potty knockdown

Creighton RCMP had one of their slowest months in recent memory, with fewer than 50 calls being made to the detachment through April.

Within Creighton, RCMP received 20 calls, with two assaults reported. The calls involved two men fighting in a home, ending with one party filing charges against the other, and two sisters fighting each other. No charges were filed in relation to the second call.

“Nothing was stolen, however it upset the occupant.”

Eight liquor offences, four calls of disturbing the peace and a traffic accident rounded out the detachment’s local calls.

In total, 27 calls came in from the Denare Beach municipality and the Amisk Lake reserve area. No calls relating to break-and-enters or mischiefs came in from the Denare Beach municipal area, with one single assault call involving a fight between two male minors ending without charges.

Four assault calls, involving two separate mother-daughter fights, two brothers fighting and a domestic violence incident were reported from Amisk Lake. Charges were laid in the last two instances. Three mischief calls were also reported, including two calls involving intoxicated people and a third call involving a portable toilet being knocked over at a recent fishing derby.
