Police searching for suspect after armed robbery fail

RCMP are searching for a male suspect after an attempted armed robbery at the Royal Hotel Jan. 8.

An RCMP statement said the man entered the business around 9 p.m. with his face covered and a knife in his hand and approached an employee. After the employee behind the counter told the man to leave several times, the suspect obliged, leaving the building without money or liquor. No injuries were reported.

The suspect is approximately 5-foot-10 and 190 pounds, wearing camouflage pants, black and white shoes and a black Famous Stars and Straps hoodie with the words "Family Forever" across the back.
