Person in 20s dies from COVID-19 in northern Sask., no new cases in Manitoba

COVID-19 has claimed another life in northern Saskatchewan - a person from the north region in their 20s. The province reported its 15th death July 7. No information regarding what community the victim was from was released.

The province reported its 15th death July 7. No information regarding what community the victim was from was released.

One other new case was reported in Saskatchewan, found in Saskatoon. No new cases of COVID-19 were found in either the north or far north regions. Five more people have recovered from the disease, cutting Saskatchewan down to 54 active cases. The province has reported 806 total cases of COVID-19 during the outbreak.

No new cases of COVID-19 were found in Manitoba July 7, marking a week with no new cases province-wide. Eleven Manitobans currently have COVID-19. No new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in northern Manitoba since April 8.
