Mounties get their man after pair of stabbings in Cranberry Portage

RCMP have arrested a suspect in a pair of stabbings in Cranberry Portage.

25-year-old Aaron George Cook was arrested and remanded into custody June 1 in connection to the incident, which took place May 23. Cook is facing charges of aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm and possess weapon for dangerous purpose.

Police arrived at a home in Cranberry Portage around 3:40 a.m. May 23 and found a 26-year-old male and a 40-year-old female stabbed inside. Both were taken to hospital. Their condition is currently unknown.
