Mischief, missing person among Creighton RCMP calls

Within Creighton, 44 calls were reported, down about 40 per cent from April 2017.
 
One sudden death was reported. The deceased, an elderly male, was ruled to have died due to natural causes.
 
One missing persons case was reported after a man was reported missing. He returned home hours later, having gone to visit family without telling anyone where he was going.
 
A total of six mischief calls were reported in Creighton, including one case of intoxicated people destroying a television set. The other cases all involved intoxicated people refusing to leave properties.
 
One theft, involving a suspect stealing a bottle from the Creighton Liquor Store, was reported. Charges were laid in the incident.
 
In the municipality of Denare Beach, 18 calls were responded to, including one domestic assault that ended in charges laid. A single instance of breaking and entering was reported, with at least one suspect entering an abandoned home. No damage or stolen property was reported. A single theft was called in to RCMP, with the caller reporting someone stealing firewood. The owner of the wood refused to press charges.
 
Three mischief charges were reported, including one intoxicated person refusing to leave a property, one person damaging a truck tailgate and another involving “a matter in which a house was messed up,” according to the RCMP report.
 
A report of gunshots was made to police, who later determined the sound to be coming from a skein of fireworks set off by teenagers. One impaired driving offence was also reported.
 
At Amisk Lake, 26 calls were made to RCMP, a similar number to April 2017. The calls included a pair of domestic assaults. Charges were laid in each instance.
 
Ten mischief calls, mostly involving intoxicated interlopers, were called in. One call involved kids egging a house.
 
Two thefts were reported, both occurring at the same house. A bottle of wine and some prescription medication were taken in separate instances.
