Flautists Natalie Milligan and Mikylo Odut accompanied Borealis Chamber Choir singers at a Christmas service at the First United Lutheran Church last weekend.

A song written by Flin Flon musician Mark Kolt was one of the highlights of Lessons and Carols, a Christmas service held at the First United Lutheran Church on Sunday, Dec. 6.

The annual event features the voices of Flin Flon’s Borealis Chamber Choir.

Kolt’s song, “Star of Bethlehem,” featured local soprano Kim Jones. The choir also performed a traditional holiday repertoire.

People attending were asked to bring a contribution to the Lord’s Bounty Food Bank. Dennis Hydamaka, food distribution chairman for the food bank, reported that 186 food items were donated, and $1,105 was raised for the charity.
