A summary of calls to police from March 14-20, as submitted by Flin Flon RCMP:

March 14

Report of an intoxicated person with their dog trying to get into a van. Police attended and found neither the person or the dog.

Report of a vehicle stuck and running in the middle of the road. Police attended and found an intoxicated driver behind the wheel of the running vehicle. The person was arrested but refused to comply with a demand for a breath sample. The person was lodged and released to appear in court at a later date.

Report of a dispute between two people. Police attended and found persons in the area described who advised it was a misunderstanding.

March 15

Report of an intoxicated person intentionally harming themselves. Police attended and found the person who was taken to the hospital for treatment, then lodged to be assessed when sober.

Report of an unknown situation. Open line 911 call where lots of screaming could be heard and someone was apparently unconscious. Police attended and the unconscious person was taken to hospital.

Report of intoxicated people trying to get into a locked car, then laying on the ground. Police attended but the people had left.

Report of an unwanted person at a residence. Police located the unwanted person, who was sober and agreed not to go back.

Report of an assault. Police made patrols but did not locate the assailant or the victim.

While on patrol, police came into contact with an intoxicated person falling into the roadway. The person was arrested and lodged.

Report of a fight on Main Street. Police attended and located one of the combatants still on scene. They were arrested and lodged and refused to tell police the name of the other person involved.

Report of people outside of a residence.

Report of an intoxicated person in a residence causing issues and refusing to leave. Police attended and arrested and lodged the person.

March 16

Report of a person hitting a vehicle with a stick. Police spoke to the owner of the vehicle, who advised they were having a dispute with their partner. Their partner was advised this behavior is unacceptable.

Report of a person accidentally calling 911 while explaining the use of 911 to children.

March 17

Report of a person expressing ideations of self-harm who may possibly be armed with a firearm. Due to the proximity of a school, a lockdown was initiated. Police attended and made contact with the person, who had driven themselves to the hospital to be assessed.

Report of an intoxicated person having been medically cleared at the hospital but was too intoxicated to care for themselves.

Report of a group of people fighting on Main Street.

Report of a group of people fighting. Police attended and found it was siblings trying to get another sibling to stop drinking.

Report of an intoxicated person sleeping on a chair on a deck. Police attended but the person removed themselves.

Report of a dispute at a school playground between youths where a weapon was allegedly shown. Matter under investigation.

Report of an intoxicated person running in traffic and banging on hoods of cars. Police attended and located an intoxicated person matching the description. Police arrested and lodged the person.

Report of a person wishing to speak about a bear spray incident. Police attempted to speak to the caller, who made themselves scarce.

Report of an intoxicated person stumbling around a park. Police attended and located the person who was arrested and lodged.

Report of intoxicated people sitting in a parked vehicle without the keys. Police attended but the people were gone. Patrols were made.

March 18

While on patrol, police came into contact with an intoxicated person with no place to go who was too intoxicated to care for themselves. The person was arrested and lodged.

Report of multiple residences being damaged by an intoxicated youth. Police located the youth who was arrested and lodged. The youth was later released to appear in court at a later date.

Report of an ATM vestibule being damaged overnight. Matter under investigation.

Report of people helping an intoxicated person up off the street.

Report of a person spraying mace at a residence. Police attended and learned it was siblings fighting one another.

Report of people smoking electric lettuce near a residence. Police made patrols but found no such activity.

March 19

Report of an intoxicated person refusing to leave a family member’s residence. Police attended and rehomed the person to a sober friend’s residence.

Report of a family member asking another to call 911 on their behalf. Police attended and learned neighbours were having a dispute.

March 20

Report of mischief to a senior’s residence. Matter under investigation.

Report of a found bone on a property. The bone was determined to be animal in nature.

Report of a group of people fighting on Main Street. Police attended but all disputants were gone.

Report of a group of people drinking on the side of a building. Police attended and found the group including one person who had an outstanding warrant for their arrest. The person was arrested and lodged.

Report of an intoxicated person locking a homeowner out of their residence. Police attended and arrested the person after a brief struggle. The person was lodged and later released to appear in court for charges of resisting arrest and mischief.

Report of intoxicated people banging on a person’s door. Police attended and the door bangers were gone.

Report of shoplifting from a local grocery store. Matter under investigation.

Report of a person in medical distress on a walking patch. Police and ambulance attended and did not locate the subject of complaint. The person was later located at home and denied being in any medical distress.

While on patrol, police came into contact with a person breaching their court-ordered curfew and alcohol conditions. The person was arrested and remanded in custody.
