A summary of police calls from August 30-Sept. 5, as submitted by Flin Flon RCMP:

 

August 30

Report of a quad speeding around town with kids driving and not wearing helmets. Police attended and located the quad with the underage driver still on it. The driver was issued offence notices under the Off Road Vehicle Act and the vehicle was impounded.

 

August 31

Report of people shooting up drugs behind a business. Police located people in the area matching the description provided by the caller. They were told not to reattend.

Report from a person who believed someone had tried to enter their residence.

Report of people in a local store who had been previously banned. Police attended but they were already gone.

Report of an assault. Police identified and identified the victim and took one person into custody. The person was lodged and later released to appear in court at a later date.

Report of a person wanting their child and their partner removed from their residence as they were intoxicated and noisy. Police attended and both agreed to leave.

Report of a vehicle driving erratically. The vehicle was not located.

Report of found bones. Investigation revealed them to be animal bones.

Report of intoxicated people needing to be removed from a residence. Police attended and both were removed. One was lodged and the other was given a ride to a friend’s residence.

Report of a domestic dispute. Police attended and learned the parties had separated and it was only verbal.

 

Sept. 1

Police requested to keep the peace while a landlord changed the locks to a residence.

Report from an employer that an employee took a fleet vehicle without permission.

Report of a person blocking another person from leaving a parking lot. Dispute over a possible collision but no evidence to support a collision took place.

Report of a person finding a firearm. Matter under investigation.

Report of a dispute between a couple in a residence. Police attended but the dispute was over.

Third party report of an assault. Matter under investigation.

Report of a person having left the hospital before receiving medical attention and needing same. Police located the patient who was taken back to the hospital.

 

Sept. 2

Report of a domestic dispute involving a bike being stolen and an assault. Matter under investigation.

Report of a break and enter to a residence. Matter under investigation.

Report of an assault. Matter under investigation.

Report of a fight in a residence.

Third-party report of a person having been assaulted. Patrols were made in order to locate the victim, however they were not found.

Report of an intoxicated person on Main Street asking people to fight him. No one would oblige. Police attended and arrested and lodged the person without incident.

Report of a teenager fighting with their grandparent.

Report of a missing person. They were located by family later on.

Report of an intoxicated person going door to door in a housing complex trying to see who will let him in. Police attended but the wanna-be encyclopedia salesman was gone.

Report of an intoxicated person at the hospital too intoxicated to release. Police attended and the person had no place to go, therefore they were arrested and lodged.

 

Sept. 3

Report of intoxicated people fighting outside a local business. Police made patrols but could not locate the combatants.

Report of an intoxicated person sleeping near a business. Police attended but the person must’ve awoken from the power nap and carried on.

Report of a person expressing ideations of self-harm. Police were later informed they were no longer needed.

Report of an intoxicated person sleeping on the sidewalk. Police attended and found the person as described, who was arrested and lodged.

Report of a person throwing an object at a vehicle passing by cracking the windshield. Patrols were made but the thrower was not located.

Report of a person attempting to bear spray another in a residence. Police attended but the victim did not want charges laid.

Report of a teenager consuming marijuana, then getting aggressive with their care taker. Police attended and the teen agreed to go to bed.

 

Sept. 4

Report of a missing person. Matter is under investigation.

Police requested to assist ambulance to get into a secure complex for a medical call. Police were called off shortly after the call was received.

Report of a person expressing ideations of self-harm and acting on those same ideations. Police attended and transported the person to hospital.

Report of a group of people passing around a bottle of alcohol in a back alley. Patrols made but the party moved elsewhere.

Report of an intoxicated people fighting and hugging one another. Patrols made but police could not locate the lovers/fighters.

Report of child neglect. CFS and police determined there actually was no neglectful acts.

Report of a teenager throwing rocks at their parent’s residence. Police attended and gave the teen a stern talking to.

Report of a fight in front of a local bar. Police attended but all participants were gone.

 

Sept. 5

Report of an abandoned vehicle. Police attended and learned the vehicle was in mechanical distress.

Report of a dispute between roommates where one was annoying the other. The annoying roommate was told to stay in their room or face further grounding.

Police requested to conduct a wellbeing check as a parent heard their adult child was drunk sitting on the street.

Report of an employee getting stuck in the store where they work. Arrangements were made for another employee to go let them out.

Report of an intoxicated person defecating in front of a store. Could this be the return of the “Phantom Pooper”? Time will only tell.

Report of a three-year-old showing up at a campsite. Police learned the young Houdini escaped from their parents camper when they were tending to other children.

Report of a youth attending a residence and threatening a person with a machete. A 16-year-old was arrested and subsequently charged with break and enter, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and three counts of failing to comply with youth probation. The youth was remanded in custody.
