A summary of police calls from June 28-July 4, as submitted by Flin Flon RCMP:
June 28
Report of a 911 hang up call from a residence. Police attended and spoke to a person within the residence stating their parent was intoxicated and causing problems. Police arrested and lodged the parent.
Report of a 911 hang up call from a residence. Police called the number back and spoke to the caller who stated someone was knocking on the door but has since left.
Report of intoxicated people falling over and trying to get into a garage. Police attended and located one of the clumsy people who was arrested and lodged.
Report of a 911 hang up call. Police learned it was a young child playing with the phone.
Report of someone knocking on a door “really hard”. Patrols were made and no one was located with bruised knuckles.
Report of an intoxicated person in a residence yelling and swearing while there were children present. Police attended and located the potty-mouthed visitor.
Report of a person at their workplace causing a disturbance and getting into a physical altercation with staff. The person was located and taken to the hospital for a mental health assessment.
Report of a person yelling in the middle of the street. Police made patrols but could not locate the yodeller.
Report of a person being very noisy in their residence and causing a disturbance to the other people in their building. Police attended and asked the person to keep the noise down, which they did.
June 29
911 hang up call from a residence requesting an ambulance. Ambulance attended and advised police were not needed.
Report of a person intoxicated and passed out on the sidewalk. Police attended and found the person as described who was arrested and lodged.
Report of a property dispute where items were being damaged. Police attended and kept the peace while the rest of the items were exchanged.
Report of intoxicated people passing out on the rocks near the highway. Police attended and found one person still on scene who was arrested and lodged.
While on patrol, police located a very intoxicated individual stumbling down the street. The person was arrested and lodged.
Report of a person expressing ideations of self-harm and acting on the same. The person was transported to hospital, received medical treatment then was lodged pending a mental health exam when sober.
June 30
911 call was received and a heated argument could be heard over the phone. Police attended and learned a couple was verbally arguing however no violence took place. They both agreed to calm down.
Report of an intoxicated person passed out under a parkade. Police attended and found the person as described who was arrested and lodged.
Report of a person going through a mental health crisis in a residence. Police attended and transported the person to the hospital to be assessed.
Report of a person having a mental health crisis on the street. Police attended and found a very intoxicated person. They were lodged until sober so that a proper mental health assessment could be completed.
Report of people on the roof of an abandoned business. Police attended but could not locate the suspects.
Report of a party at a residence where people were seen getting into vehicles. Police attended but did not locate the party nor the vehicles.
Report of a suspicious person in the back alley of a street doing suspicious things.
Report of people bothering a person who just wanted to have a smoke. Police attended and found the Marlboro man now smoking in peace.
July 1
Report of unwanted people in a residence. Police attended one person still on scene who was taken into custody. The other person got the hint and left prior to police arrival.
Report of an intoxicated person passed out against a building. Police attended and found the person as described who was arrested and lodged.
While on patrol police located a person too intoxicated to care for themselves. They were arrested and lodged.
Report of a four year old child walking around by themselves. The child was returned home and appears to have wandered off.
While on patrol, police located a very intoxicated person too intoxicated to care for themselves. The person was arrested and lodged.
Report of an intoxicated person expressing ideations of self harm. Police attended and took the person into custody to see a physician when sober.
Report of persons chasing one another with weapons. Police attended and took one person into custody. Both had differing accounts of what happened and neither wanted charges laid.
An unlucky soul found themselves very intoxicated walking in front of the police detachment. The person was far too intoxicated to care for themselves therefore they were lodged.
Report of a fight which had finished then a different person was hit in the head with a liquor bottle. The suspect was later located carrying a concealed weapon. They were arrested, lodged and released the following morning on conditions with a pending future court appearance.
Report of a group of intoxicated people staggering down a street and smashing bottles. Patrols made and the group was not located.
Report of a near collision between vehicles.
July 2
Report of a yelling and banging and carrying on and such at a residence. Police attended and found the one person riot, who was arrested and lodged.
911 call of a person wanting someone removed from their residence, however while they were on the phone the unwanted person left.
Report of a window being broken intentionally by an unknown person.
Report of a person in a residence playing music loudly not allowing others to sleep. Police called the person and asked them to turn it down and then they did.
Police requested to check on the wellbeing of a person who had been heard from by family for a few months. Police found the estranged family member who was A-OK.
Report of a possible impaired driver. Police located the driver who was drowsy due to medication that they are taking.
Report of a fight between a group of people. Police attended, but the rumble was over.
Report of an intoxicated person crawling around a campground. Police and ambulance attended and the person was transported to hospital.
Report of a group of people in a residence which they should not be in. Police attended and found no such people.
Report of a fight, however it seemed to be over as the call came in.
Report of a person kicking at the door of a residence however the punter left while the caller was on the phone with police.
Report from a concerned party that they told someone to come get their stuff and now they might actually come get it…
July 3
Report of a home invasion, however when police arrived, no home invasion occurred and the caller denied calling police. The caller was very intoxicated and CFS had to intervene.
Report of a youth upset and refusing to go to bed.
Report of intoxicated person sleeping on the side of the road. Police attended and found the person as described who was arrested and lodged.
Report of a person passed out on the street. A concerned fiend escorted the person along before police arrived.
Report of a missing person who returned minutes after the was received.
While on patrol, a very intoxicated individual was found stumbling near traffic. The person was arrested and lodged.
911 calls received to a residence for an unknown situation. Police attended and learned of a possible assault, matter under investigation.
While on patrol, police located a very intoxicated person stumbling down a very steep hill. The person was arrested and lodged.
Report of a person passed out on the Hundred Stairs. Police attended and found the subject of complaint along with a bonus friend who was also passed out. Both arrested and lodged.
While on patrol, police intercepted two very intoxicated individuals about to throw down some fisticuffs. Both were arrested and lodged before any punches were thrown.
While on patrol, police located a very intoxicated person walking towards a gas station,. The person was arrested and lodged.
July 4
Report of an intoxicated person refusing to leave a residence. Police arrived but the person had left in the interim.
Report of an intoxicated person yelling outside a residence. Police attended and moved the ol’ yeller to a friend’s residence.
Report of a disturbance in a residence. Police attended and found a teenager and his mother were arguing over the possession of a cell phone. The teenager was given options and chose the option which involved them going to bed.
Report of a youth being loud and refusing to go to bed, bothering other people in the residence. The youth then went to a friend’s house.
Call received from someone concerned that someone may come to their house.
Report of an intoxicated person sleeping on the steps of a residence. Police attended and found the person who was relocated to cells.
Report of a fight, however when the call was being received, the fight was over and both participants went to their residences. Police spoke to both who advised it was a consensual fight and neither wanted charges.
Report of an intoxicated person bother residents in a parking lot. Police attended and found the person who was arrested and lodged.
While on patrol, police located an intoxicated person sleeping on the steps of a business. They were arrested and lodged.
Report of beings drinking alcohol in public and arguing with one another.
Report of two intoxicated people yelling at one another looking like they are about to get into a donnybrook.
Report of an intoxicated person in a residence becoming aggressive with people there. Police located the person a short distance away who was arrested and lodged.
While on patrol, police located a very intoxicated person stumbling around. They were arrested and lodged but then assaulted another prisoner. Matter under investigation.
Report of a family dispute at a residence. Police were advised by the caller that everyone had now left and police were no longer needed.
Report of a fire at a residence.
Report of a family dispute at a residence, however all family members separated prior to police arrival.
911 hang up call from a residence. Police learned it was children playing with the phone.
While on patrol, police located an intoxicated person passed out in the grass. The person was dusted off, arrested and lodged.
