A summary of calls to police from Jan. 24-30, as submitted by Flin Flon RCMP: Jan. 24 Report of a person having a mental health episode on the street. Police attended and took custody of the person who was brought to the hospital to be assessed.

A summary of calls to police from Jan. 24-30, as submitted by Flin Flon RCMP:

 

Jan. 24

Report of a person having a mental health episode on the street. Police attended and took custody of the person who was brought to the hospital to be assessed.

Report of an intoxicated family member in a residence throwing things and yelling at people. Police attended and found the person who was about to walk to a community far away. The person was arrested and lodged to prevent escalation and for their own safety.

Jan. 25

Report of noisy neighbours with recorded noise included. Police found the noise was people going about their day-to-day activities.

Another separate report of a noisy neighbour who was walking too loudly. The complainant was told to do their best to forget about it.

Report of an intoxicated person who had fallen in the snow and a bystander was trying to help them up. Police attended and found no sign of either person.

Report of a dispute between an intoxicated couple on Main street over money. Police attended and found both disputants, both very intoxicated with no safe place go to. Both arrested and lodged.

911 hang-up call from a cell phone. Police made contact with the caller who advised everything is fine.

Jan. 26

Report of a person high on a drug, running around, thinking someone was chasing them and banging on the windows of a residence. Police attended but were not able to find the person. Police later called back as the person came back to the residence, however they were once again gone upon police arrival.

Report of a noisy neighbour. Police advised them to keep the noise down.

Report of found needles.

Report of people fighting in a parking lot of the hospital.

Report of an insecure premise. Police attended and cleared and secured the residence.

Report of people banging on the door of a residence. The caller then stated they left and would call back should the people reattend.

Report of an intoxicated person in a residence arguing with their spouse about things that happened in the past. Police attended and the person was gone already.

Report of loud noises coming from a residence both inside and outside. Police attended and everything was now calm and quiet.

Jan. 27

Report of a possible party at a residence. Police attended and found no evidence of same.

Report of two horses running loose on the highway. Police attended and corralled the horses back in their pen… finally - an excuse to wear chaps on duty!

Report of a break and enter to a residence. A person awoke and found people in a residence who had no entitlement to the property. Matter under investigation.

Report of an assault. The victim did not want police pursuing the matter.

Report of a dispute between neighbours.

Report of a person taking a family members vehicle without prior consent.

Report of a fight on Main Street between a group of people.

Report of a person having just woken up and finding people drinking in their residence.

Police requested to do a wellbeing check on a person. Police attended and the person was home and fine.

Report of intoxicated people disagreeing in a residence.

Jan. 28

Report of an insecure building which the caller thinks may have been the scene of a break and enter.

Report of an intoxicated person crawling on the ground complaining of a hurt leg. Police attended and located the person, who was then transported to hospital.

Report of an intoxicated person having been medically cleared but was causing a scene in the hospital by yelling. Police attended and arrested and lodged the person.

Report of an intoxicated person running around a residence where they were on a court order to not attend. The person then left for the hospital. The person was medically cleared then later arrested and lodged.

Report of an intoxicated person passed out on the steps of a business. Police attended and found the person had relocated and picked up a friend along the way to an ATM vestibule. Both were heavily intoxicated and were arrested and lodged.

Report of an unwanted intoxicated person in a residence. Police attended and the problem fixed itself.

Report of an intoxicated person presenting themselves to the Flin Flon hospital seemingly in a crisis. The person was too intoxicated to be seen by a mental health professional, therefore they were lodged and brought back to hospital when they were sober.

Report of a disturbance in the middle of the street. Police attended and found one person was trying to help their intoxicated friend who fell. The intoxicated person was given a ride to a sober friend.

Jan. 29

Report of a domestic disturbance. Police attended and took one person into custody for failing to comply with court-ordered conditions. Investigation later revealed an assault took place as well. The person was later remanded in custody.

Report of intoxicated people in a residence causing a scene.

Report of a missing child who was located immediately after the call was placed.

Report of a landlord/tenant dispute involving theft of property.

Report of a domestic assault. Police attended and took one person into custody, who was later released to appear in court at a later date.

Report of a wallet being stolen, then returned, however money was missing. Matter under investigation.

Report of an intoxicated person having medically cleared at the hospital but too intoxicated to care for themselves. The person was arrested and lodged as they had no place to go.

Jan. 30

Report of an intoxicated person knocking on the door of a residence. Police attended and found the person mid-knock. They were arrested and lodged.

Report of people breaching the provincial COVID-19 guidelines. Police attended and provided a warning.

Report of an intoxicated patient becoming aggressive with hospital staff. Police attended, however the patient’s caregiver arrived and agreed to take the patient home.

Report of intoxicated people trying to kick a door down to a residence.

Intoxicated person called 911 asking ambulance to check on their “homies”. Names of said homies were not given. Everyone please - check on your homies just in case!

Report of people bugging other people.

Report of a person attending a residence saying they were assaulted then leaving. Matter under investigation.
