A summary of calls to police from May 24-30, as submitted by Flin Flon RCMP:

 

May 24

Report of an intoxicated person passed out on the steps of a residence. Police attended and found the person as described. The person was arrested and lodged.

Report of a vehicle with out of province licence plates parked at a local hotel. The caller was concerned the occupants of the vehicle were not respecting self-quarantining conditions. Police attended and found no such breach occurred.

Report of a person with a stab wound. The victim at first stated they had fallen onto a knife, however a few days later changed their tune and admitted that they had been stabbed. Police were able to locate the suspect who was arrested and charged with assault causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon and breaching their court ordered conditions. The person was remanded into custody.

Report of a person having been stabbed. At this point in time, the victim is not cooperating with police, however the investigation continues.

 

May 25

Report of a person repeatedly knocking on a door of a residence, however the homeowner did not want to look outside. Police made patrols and the knocker was gone.

Report of an intoxicated person passed out on the side of the road. Police attended and located the passed out person, who was arrested and lodged in cells.

Report of an intoxicated person refusing to leave. Police attended and were unable to find an alternative residence for the person, therefore they were arrested and lodged.

 

May 26

Report of a group of people being loud and drinking at a local park. Police attended and found one person with open alcohol. The person was arrested and lodged.

Police requested to assist an ambulance for a report of a person having been assaulted by an unknown person with weapons. The person was taken to hospital where their health took a turn for the worse and the victim had to be flown to Winnipeg. The matter is still under investigation.

Report of a boat motor having been stolen sometime overnight.

Report of a missing person, however police were able to locate the person a short time after the call was received.

Report intoxicated people drinking behind an uptown business. Police attended and found one straggler leaving the area, quite intoxicated. The person was arrested and lodged.

While on patrol, police located two very intoxicated people, both too intoxicated to care for themselves. Both were arrested and lodged.

Report of a fox on Main Street and the caller could also hear children laughing in the distance.

 

May 27

Report of a small fire near an abandoned residence. Police and fire attended and the flames were quickly extinguished.

Report of a reportedly intoxicated person at the hospital having been medically cleared. Police provided the person a courtesy ride to a family member.

Report of a vehicle being damaged while parked at a local dealership lot.

Report of a person outside of a residence causing problems, however the caller stated the problem causer had left prior to police arrival and police were no longer needed.

Report of insecure premises. Police attended and found the door to the residence just doesn’t close properly.

Report of an intoxicated person yelling threats at a residence. Police located the person still in the area and still yelling. The person was arrested and lodged.

Report of a person expressing ideations of self-harm and acting on those thoughts. Police located the subject of complaint who had to be taken to hospital for self-inflicted wounds.

Report of an intoxicated person passed out in front of a financial institution. Police attended and found the person still on scene. They were arrested and lodged.

Report of a fight in front of a residence. Police attended and learned it was a consensual fight between two people who had since separated.

 

May 28

Report of a couple having a dispute. One of the people involved believed the other took money and a phone, however had no proof of same.

Report of an intoxicated person passed out in the porch of a residence. Police attended and found the person still on scene who was arrested and lodged.

Report of an intoxicated person refusing to leave a residence. Police attended and removed the person who was arrested and lodged.

Report of three people attending a residence and kicking at a door. The homeowner told them to leave (in stronger words than that) and they did.

Report of three people walking around with one brandishing a knife. Police located a trio matching the description provided. One of the group was breaching their conditions and therefore was arrested for the breach. The person was lodged and remanded in custody. No knife was located.

Report of children being watched by intoxicated parents. Police attended and found this was not the truth.

 

May 29

Report of a couple arguing in a residence. Police attended and arrested and lodged the intoxicated aggressor to prevent an escalation in the argument.

Report of a dispute between a couple where one of the disputants had left but was now trying to crawl through a window. Police attended and located the subject of complaint still on scene who was arrested and lodged.

Report of a group of people fighting on the street.

While on patrol, police located a very intoxicated person stating they were being chased by people with bats. Police arrested and lodged the intoxicated person, effectively keeping them safe - although they didn’t see it that way.

While on patrol, police located an individual breaching their court ordered curfew. The person was arrested, lodged and later released with a pending court date.

Report of an intoxicated person causing a scene in a local pizzeria. Police located the person a short distance away who was arrested and lodged.

 

May 30

Report of a vehicle fire. Police and fire attended and found exactly that - a vehicle on fire with like smoke and flames and everything! The wet stuff was put on the hot stuff. The registered owner did not report the vehicle as stolen.

Report of a pressure washer being stolen from a residence, believed to be a dispute between family members.

While on patrol, police located an intoxicated person passed out on the street. The person was arrested and lodged.

Report of an armed robbery having taken place the previous night. The matter is under investigation.

Report of a fight on the street involving multiple people. Police attended, however the combatants declined police intervention.

During a traffic stop, police located a person breaching their court ordered curfew. The person was arrested, lodged and released on a future court date.

Report of unwanted intoxicated people sleeping in a tent behind a residence. Police attended and re-homed the subjects of complaint.
