A summary of calls to police from May 9-15, as submitted by Flin Flon RCMP:

May 9

Report of an intoxicated person refusing to leave a residence after being asked to. Police attended and found the person still on scene, still refusing to go. They were arrested and lodged.

Report of a group of people hanging around in a back alley. Police attended and the group was gone.

While performing a traffic stop, police located two occupants in a vehicle, one of whom was on conditions to have no contact with the passenger as per a court order. The offender was arrested and later released to appear in court at a later date.

Report of a possible domestic assault. Police attended and spoke to the victim who advised that it was actually a stranger who assaulted them. The victim then stopped cooperating with the investigation.

May 10

Report of people hearing screaming in the uptown area. Police made patrols, but found no one out and about nor any evidence of anything nefarious having taken place.

Report of a person having a party with a lot of people inside. The offender then called stating someone was blacking out in the residence. Police attended and everyone was gone. The homeowner was arrested and lodged for breaching the peace.

Report of a person’s grandchild being intoxicated and causing problems in the residence. Police attended but the subject of complaint had left.

Report of a person stealing a purse from a person. The victim was dragged, as they kept hold of their purse. The same person then went to a residence and smashed a window. The person was identified, arrested and charged with robbery, mischief and three counts of failing to comply with a release order. They were then remanded into custody.

Report of a person being assaulted by their adult child. The person was located, arrested, and later released on conditions and to appear in court at a later date.

Report of youth attending a residence, stealing a television from their ex-partner and assaulting the owner of the television when they tried to retrieve the same. The person was later located in Saskatchewan still carrying the television. The person was arrested and is facing charges in Manitoba of breaking and entering and two counts of robbery. They were later released on conditions and to appear in court at a later date.

Child and Family Services requested police attend a residence as they had a report that there was a party going on with intoxicated people in the residence and small children. Police attended and found there was no party and there were sober adults to care for the children.

911 call received from a residence. Police attended and learned it was children playing with the phone.

May 11

Report of a group of people passing around a bottle of alcohol behind a business. Police attended but the group was no longer there.

Report of a person expressing ideations of self-harm in a residence. Police attended and found everyone was now fine.

Report of an intoxicated in a residence who was unwanted there. Police attended and found the person still on scene. They were arrested and lodged.

Report of people fighting on Main Street. Police attended but learned the combatants got into a vehicle together and left.

Report of an intoxicated person passed out in a hallway of an assisted living home. Police attended and found the person as described, who was arrested and lodged.

Report of an intoxicated person walking around without shoes. The person was located and given a ride home.

May 12

Report of an intoxicated person passed out on Main Street. Police attended and found the person as described, who was arrested and lodged.

Report of an intoxicated person yelling at employees in a local restaurant. Police attended and made patrols but did not locate the person.

While on patrol, police came into contact with two people who were too intoxicated to care for themselves or one another. Both were arrested and lodged.

While on patrol, police came into contact with a youth who was out past their court ordered curfew. The youth stated they were going to the hospital. They were given a ride to the hospital then home.

May 13

During a traffic stop, police came into contact with a person who had illicit cannabis on their person in an unapproved container. The person was issued a ticket under the Cannabis Act.

While on patrol, police were alerted to an intoxicated person passed out near a business. The person was located, arrested and lodged.

Report of a youth driving an ATV on the road.

Report of a child not returning home as per their parent ordered curfew. The child was located and driven home.

Report of a person being assaulted. Police attended and learned the person meant the subject of complaint was punching the air outside the residence. The subject of complaint was intoxicated and not supposed to be at the residence. They were arrested and lodged.

Report of a vehicle driving erratically. The vehicle was located and the driver was spoken to. Inexperience and unfamiliarity with the area led to the erratic driving.

Report of a person coming to Flin Flon who was believed to have warrants. Police checks confirmed the person had no active Manitoba warrants.

Report of an intoxicated person having been medically cleared at the hospital but was too intoxicated to care for themselves. Police attended and arrested and lodged the person.

May 14

Report of a grandparent leaving their grandchildren in a residence for long periods of time while they went out drinking. Police attended and found there was an appropriate caregiver in the residence. Child and Family Services advised of the call.

Report of a break and enter to a residence.

Police requested to check on the wellbeing of a person who is posting concerning posts on a social media site. Police attended and spoke to the person who admitted they were going through a hard time but were not feeling suicidal.

Report of an intoxicated person passed out in front of a bank. Police attended and found the person as described who was arrested and lodged.

Report of an intoxicated person passed out in a back alley. Police attended and found the person as described who was arrested and lodged.

Report of a theft from a residence. Matter under investigation.

Report of intoxicated people in a parking lot, one who fell and smashed their face. Police and EMS attended but found no one on scene. Patrols made and no one seen with facial injuries.

Report from an intoxicated person they kicked their child out of the house and they would like their grandchildren returned. Police located the grandchildren, who were with their sober parent, therefore they were not returned.

Report of children yelling and the caller was concerned someone may be getting assaulted. Police attended and found no children in the area and no evidence of an assault.

Police requested to check on a residence as the homeowner was out of town and heard there was a party going on there. Police attended and found no party.

Report of a person driving an ATV fast and with no helmet. Police attended but did not locate same.

Report of a child driving an ATV, caller concerned due to the age of the child. Police made patrols but did not locate the driver.

Report of a person attending a residence and was yelling and screaming outside. Police attended but did not locate the subject of complaint.

Report of a domestic assault. The offender was located the following morning and arrested for assault causing bodily harm and breaching their court ordered curfew. They were arrested, lodged and remanded in custody.

May 15

Report of a wallet being stolen out of an unlocked truck.

Report of an unwanted person in a residence. Police attended and the person agreed to leave and was given a ride home.

Report of an intoxicated person in a residence who was unwanted there. Police attended but the person was gone.

Report of an intoxicated person at the hospital who had been medically cleared but was too intoxicated to care for themselves. The person was arrested and lodged.

Police requested to assist EMS with an intoxicated patient. Police attended and found another very intoxicated person on scene who was unrelated to this call. They were arrested and lodged.

Report of an intoxicated person at the hospital who had been medically cleared but was too intoxicated to care for themselves. The person then started yelling at hospital staff and left. The person was located, arrested and lodged.

Report of a dog being hit by a car and appearing injured. Animal control and SPCA were contacted.

Report of a family member in a residence threatening a parent. Police located the person who was arrested for uttering threats. Search of the person incidental to arrest located a small quantity of controlled substances. The person was lodged, remanded in custody and is facing charges under the Criminal Code and the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Report of people who aren’t supposed to be in a residence, being there. Police attended and found no one who was not supposed to be there, there.
