A summary of police calls from August 9-15, as submitted by Flin Flon RCMP:
August 9
Report of a person telling a person who told another person who then told police that people were looking through cars. Police attended but did not evidence to support same.
Report of a person trying to push open a screen door and damaging the screen. Police attended and made patrols, however were unable to locate the suspect.
Report of a person having been robbed of an iPod. Police attended to the residence to arrest a youth suspect and when doing so, their parent tried to prevent the arrest. As a result, the youth and the parent were both arrested for resisting arrest, obstructing a police officer and the parent was charged with assault on a police officer. Both were lodged and later released to appear in court at a future date.
Report of a child asking a neighbour to call police. Police attended and spoke to the adults who reported that everything was fine and all was a misunderstanding. No evidence to support the contrary.
Report of a vehicle’s window being smashed, unsure when it happened.
Police requested to assist in a child custody dispute, however there is no court order in place, therefore police could not provide assistance.
Report of an erratic driver. Police intercepted the vehicle and identified the driver who had a warrant out for their arrest. The person was arrested, the warrant was executed and they were released to appear in court at a later date.
Report of a person expressing ideations of self-harm. Police attended a residence and the person attended the hospital voluntarily.
Report of a person parking in a public parking lot, which the caller felt was harassing.
Report of a possible attempted break and enter to a residence. Matter under investigation.
Report of a break and enter/theft of a vehicle at a residence. The vehicle was later recovered after having been involved in a collision near The Pas. A youth was the driver and was arrested at the scene. The youth was later released to appear in court at a later date.
Report of a person having been allegedly hit by a vehicle then assaulted. Matter is under investigation.
Report of people in a back alley yelling at one another while holding tools and wood. Police made patrols but could not find the angry construction crew.
Report of a person kicking the door of a residence threatening to bear mace people within.
August 10
Report of a person bothering guests at a local hotel. Police attended but the patron had departed.
Report of youths riding ATV’s in a park where other youths were. The vehicle operators were taken home to their parents.
While on patrol, police located a very intoxicated person too intoxicated to care for themselves. They were arrested and lodged.
August 11
Report of an intoxicated person on the road. Police attended but did not locate same.
Report of a people drinking in front of a residence, then the homeowner noticing damage to their trailer and boat.
Report of a break and enter to an outbuilding of a business.
Report of a vehicle window being smashed. Matter under investigation.
Report of a person receiving text messages that appear to be meant for someone else. They were told to block the number.
Report of an intoxicated person passed out in front of a local bank. Police attended and found the person as described who was arrested and lodged.
Report of a person calling police and wanting someone removed from their house.
Report of two intoxicated persons in a residence that the homeowner would like removed.
August 12
Report of an intoxicated person having been medically cleared from the hospital but too intoxicated to care for themselves. Police attended and lodged the person.
Report of a person attempting to end a relationship, however the other party has been threatening self harm.
Report of a supposed door-to-door sales man looking suspicious.
While on patrol, police located an intoxicated person too intoxicated to care for themselves. They were arrested and lodged.
Report of an intoxicated person in a residence throwing things around.
Report of a possible breach of a no-contact order. Matter under investigation.
Report of an intoxicated person passed out near a residence. Police attended and found the person as described who was arrested and lodged.
August 13
Report of an intoxicated person outside the door of a business. Police attended and found the person as described who was too intoxicated to care for themselves. They were arrested and lodged.
Report of an intoxicated person at a business despite not being allowed at same. Police attended and found the person still on scene who was arrested and lodged.
Report of an upset intoxicated person having just punched a wall. The person was located, arrested and lodged.
August 14
Report of a backpack with unused needles being located. Police attended and retrieved same.
Report of a group of people drinking alcohol behind a business. Police attended but the party was over.
Report of a shoplifting complaint. Matter under investigation.
Report of an intoxicated person stumbling all over the road. Police attended and located the person still doing the same. They were arrested and lodged.
Report of a young child walking down the street in a diaper. Police attended and located the child. The caretakers arrived a short time later and advised that the child ran out when they weren’t looking.
Report of a birthday party being ruined by someone’s bad behavior. The party pooper arranged for a ride to leave the party.
Report of a person getting into a verbal altercation with another on the street.
Report of an erratic driver.
August 15
Remember the party pooper? Well they came back. Police attended and arrested and lodged the subject of complaint.
Report of a domestic assault. Police later located the subject of complaint who was arrested, lodged and released on a future court appearance.
Report of a found vehicle which was later reported stolen. The vehicle owner did not wish for police to investigate any further.
Report of a person attempting to break into a vehicle.
Report of an intoxicated person refusing to leave a residence. Police attended and arrested and lodged the person. They were later released to appear in court at a later date.
Report of a possible impaired driver. Patrols made and the driver was not located.
Report of people attempting to break into a camper.
