Flin Flon RCMP Report: Knife fights and scrappy nights

A summary of police calls received from Sept. 6-12, as submitted by Flin Flon RCMP:

Sept. 6

Report of an intoxicated person refusing to leave a residence. Police attended but the person left prior to police arrival.

Report of an open line 911 call where people could be heard in a heated debate. Police attended and learned someone was throwing objects at a windows of a residence.

Report of a person trying to make a bed under the steps of a residence.

Report of people drinking in the parking lot of the hospital. Police attended but the party had moved elsewhere.

Report of a fight on Main Street. Police attended and located an injured person who advised who assaulted him. Police located the suspect nearby, who was arrested for assault causing bodily harm and breaching court ordered conditions. The person was remanded in custody.

Report of a window being broken by the parent of the homeowner.

Report of a dispute between roommates. Police attended and all was now calm.

While on patrol, two very intoxicated people seen in a back alley. Both were arrested due to their intoxicated state. One person was lodged and the other was taken to their parents.

Sept. 7

Report of an intoxicated driver on Main Street. The caller did not provide a vehicle description or any details for police to locate said driver.

Report of a person expressing ideations of self-harm. The person was taken to the hospital by a family member.

Sept. 8

Report of people attempting to get into a locked vehicle.

Report of someone in distress yelling. Police attended and learned it was a dispute between siblings.

Report of an intoxicated person fighting people inside a residence. Police attended and arrested and lodged the scrapper.

Report of an intoxicated person trying to get into a residence through a window. Police attended but the window climber was gone.

Sept. 9

Report of a group intoxicated people drinking outside a local business. Police attended and located two people still on scene. Both were arrested and lodged.

Report of a person known to the homeowner entering a residence then falling asleep. Police attended and found the sleeper had awoken and left.

Report of people fighting outside a housing unit.

Report of a theft of bicycle.

Report of an intoxicated youth attacking family member in a residence. Police attended and arrested the youth, who then began attempting to attack officers. The youth was arrested, lodged and later released to appear in court at a later date to face charges - two counts of assaulting a police officer, resisting a police officer and two counts of failing to comply with a court order.

Report of a group of intoxicated people attempting to get into a residence. Police attended but the group was gone.

Sept. 10

While on patrol, police located an intoxicated person drinking alcohol in the open in the uptown area. The person attempted to throw the bottle away. The person was arrested and lodged. The bottle was properly disposed of, as police give a hoot.

Report of a person challenging another to a fight through a window. Police made patrols but the challenger was gone.

Police requesting to assist ambulance for a person in medical distress which was drawing a crowd.

Report of a rock being thrown through a window.

Police flagged down for a report of a fight. Police learned a person pulled a knife on another. The swordsman was arrested and the knife was located. They were lodged and later released to appear in court on charges of assault with a weapon, possess weapon for a dangerous purpose and disturbing the peace.

Sept. 11

While on patrol, police located an intoxicated person sleeping in an ATM vestibule. The person was arrested and lodged.

Report of a domestic assault. Matter under investigation.

Report of a person being heard asking for help. Police patrolled but found no one in distress.

Report of an intoxicated person being loud in a residence and not leaving despite being asked. Police attended and the person was still on scene and still being loud. They were arrested and lodged.

Sept. 12

Report of intoxicated people passed out by an entrance to a business. Police attended and found two people as described. Both were arrested and lodged.

Report of a fight at a residence where the victim was bleeding. Police located the aggressor who was arrested on an outstanding warrant and picked up charges of assault causing bodily harm and two counts of fail to comply with court conditions. The person was lodged and released to appear in court at a later date.

Parking complaint.

Report of a person knocking on the door of a residence. The resident was concerned the person was there for revenge from an earlier incident.

Report of an intoxicated person walking around saying they were stabbed. Police located the person who had no wounds whatsoever. They were taken to a sober adult for babysitting.

Report of a fight between two people,

Report of a verbal spat in a residence. Police attended but learned the non-resident left.

Report of a child and parent arguing and police were needed to calm the situation down. Police attended and mediated a discussion.

While on patrol, police located a very intoxicated person laying on the ground. They were arrested and lodged.

Report of a dispute between roommates. Police attended and the dispute was still on going. The aggressor was arrested and lodged.

Report of a person expressing ideations of self-harm. Police located the person who agreed to go to the hospital voluntarily.
