A summary of police calls made from Dec. 1-7, as submitted by Flin Flon RCMP:
Dec. 1
Report of a youth expressing ideations of self-harm. It was later learned the youth did not make any direct threats, therefore the youth was brought back to their parent.
Report of a person pepper spraying another person. The suspect was later apprehended and charged with assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unauthorized possession of a weapon and multiple breaches of their court orders. The person was remanded in custody.
Report of intoxicated person medically cleared from hospital - however, they were drinking in the hospital. Police attended, broke up the party for one and lodged the subject of complaint.
Dec. 2
Report of fraud and theft. Investigation is ongoing.
Report of an unsecure building the property rep fears may have been entered. Police attended and found no evidence to suggest anyone had been in the building.
Report of person passed out on stairs of local hostel. Police attended and located the person as described who was arrested and lodged.
Report of passed out person behind a building. Police attended and found a person with substantial injuries to his head and face. Another person on scene was arrested and charged for aggravated assault and remanded in custody.
Dec. 3
Report of youth having been locked out of their residence as they didn’t want to go to school. The youth was then threatening people inside. Matter to be dealt with through child family services.
Report of person medically cleared but still intoxicated. Police attended and provided taxi service to a sober person’s residence.
Report of person medically cleared but intoxicated and refusing to leave hospital. Police attended and the person then did choose to leave and was given a ride to a sober relatives.
Report of youth leaving their residence despite being on a court ordered curfew. The youth was located a short time later and arrested, to be charged with two breaches of their court ordered conditions.
Dec. 4
Report of an intoxicated person attempting to fight one of their adult children. Police attended and found the aggressor, who was intoxicated and lodged.
Report of an intoxicated person in front of a local financial institution. Police attended and located the subject of complaint who was arrested and lodged.
Report of a theft from a store which was thwarted by a youth’s caregiver.
Report of a fight between youths over a can of Pepsi.
Report of a theft of items from a residence. The homeowner didn’t want police to investigate. Police offered advice to not let people they don’t know sleep at their residence. The more you know.
Report of a theft from a local business. Matter is under investigation.
Report of a robbery at the Petro Canada. Two unknown males entered the store and held up the employees. The suspects stole cash from the till. Matter is under investigation in consultation with Major Crimes.
Dec. 5
Report of a person sending a Snapchat to friend expressing suicidal ideations. The subject of complaint was located and taken to hospital.
Report of an intoxicated person at the hospital medically cleared but refusing to leave. Police attended and learned the subject of complaint had an outstanding warrant for their arrest. The person was arrested and remanded in custody.
Report of a wallet being stolen from a vehicle.
While on patrol, an intoxicated person was found lying in a snowbank. The frosty person was lodged in cells for the night.
Report of a person passed out in the lobby of a local hostel. Police attended and arrested and lodged the subject of complaint.
Report of a “mean” looking person kicking at a door of a residence. Police attended and located the angry person who was arrested and charged with breaching their conditions and resisting police. The person was remanded into custody.
Report of a belligerent and intoxicated person needing to be removed from a local business.
Report of a person knocking on the door of a residence despite being on conditions to not attend said residence. Investigation revealed the subject of complaint was not even in the community at the time.
Report of a youth sitting in a snowbank for approximately 20 minutes. Police attended and located the youth who immediately began yelling at police. Due to the strange behavior, the youth was taken to the hospital under the Mental Health Act.
Report of a fight within a residence. Police attended and located and couple in the midst of a heated argument. One of the participants was arrested and lodged to prevent anything from escalating.
Report of a missing youth who returned a short time later.
Dec. 6
Report of people yelling. Police attended but not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
Report of a vehicle’s front windshield being smashed overnight.
Report of two intoxicated people in front of a business harassing patrons.
Report of three intoxicated people going in and out of an uptown business bugging customers.
Report of an eight-year-old child found outside of a residence crying.
Report of an intoxicated person in front of a business yelling and making threats, unknown to who. Police attended and located the angry person who was arrested and lodged.
Report of a shoeless male running around saying he is injured. Police attended and found the frozen footed man who was arrested and lodged in cells.
Report of two males walking into a residence brandishing weapons and demanding drugs and weapons. The matter is under investigation.
Dec. 7
Report of a possible impaired driver.
Report of an intoxicated person attempting to find an apartment but passing out while looking. Police attended and located the subject of complaint who was taken to cells to be lodged.
Report of intoxicated needing a ride to Creighton. They were directed to phone a taxi.
Report of a group of people walking through yards looking through mail boxes.
Report of family dispute and one of the family members was kicking at the door of another’s home. Patrols made but police could not locate the door-kicking culprit.
Report of items being taken from a workplace.
Report of makeup being stolen. Patrols made but the beauty queen was not located.
Report of a person passed out on stairs of a local business. Police attended and located the subject of complaint and a bonus intoxicated person. Both were arrested and lodged.
Report of a fight in front of a local business. Police attended, but could not locate the combatants.
Report of a youth armed with a hockey stick smashing a windshield. A passerby attempted to play defence, but was slashed. The youth was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, uttering threats, mischief and breaching their court order.
The youth was sent to the penalty box - The Pas Correctional Centre.
Report of an intoxicated person at the hospital medically cleared but passed out. Police attended and arrested and lodged the subject of complaint.
