A summary of police calls from March 21-27, as submitted by Flin Flon RCMP:
March 21
Report of an unknown person kicking at someone’s door and then leaving.
Report of a person sleeping in an ATM vestibule. Police attended but the person was gone.
Report of a downed hydro line. Police conducted traffic control until Manitoba Hydro arrived.
During a traffic stop, police came into contact with a person who had an outstanding warrant for their arrest out of Winnipeg. The person was arrested, lodged and later released to appear in court at a later date.
Report of a person causing problems in a residence. Police attended and the problem causer tuckered themselves out and was now asleep. Police told the caller to call back should the person wake up and start causing problems again.
March 22
Report of an assault having taken place at a residence. Police located the suspect a short distance away. The person was arrested and lodged. The complainant declined to cooperate with the police investigation from that point.
Report of an angry person causing issues in the lobby of the hospital. Police attended but the person had since calmed down and was being seen.
Report of people fighting on Main Street. Police attended and located an intoxicated person who had appeared to have just been in an altercation of sorts. The person was arrested and lodged.
Police requested to attend a residence with an ambulance. Police attended and found a person who appeared impaired by some sort of drug. The person refused to go with ambulance.
Report of an intoxicated person at the hospital too intoxicated to care for themselves. Police attended and found the person as described who was assessed and released.
Report of intoxicated people at a residence pushing one another. Police attended but no one was located.
Report of an intoxicated person smashing the lights of a vehicle at a residence. Police attended and found the smasher who was arrested and lodged.
Report of a two vehicle collision. Police attended but one of the drivers had fled. Matter under investigation.
March 23
Report of a drug overdose in a hotel room. Police and ambulance attended but found a person had just fallen asleep while doing drugs. No overdose.
Report of a domestic dispute at a residence. Police attended and found the dispute was only verbal. The parties agreed to separate for the night.
Report of an unwanted person in a residence. Police attended and found the homeowner was intoxicated and wanted another person to leave however never actually asked them to go. Police asked the person to go and they did.
Report of a fight on Main Street.
Report of another fight on Main Street. The Tuesday night titans were still on scene, therefore they were arrested and lodged.
Report of a break and enter and theft that occurred at a residence over the past few days. Matter under investigation.
While on patrol, police located an intoxicated person sleeping in ATM vestibule. The person was arrested and lodged.
March 24
Report of a planned bank robbery. Police spoke to the tipster who was very intoxicated and could not provide any details police could corroborate. Police patrolled the area to thwart the robbers and it seems have paid off.
Report of people fighting in a residence. Police attended but the person causing issues had left.
Report of a person attending a residence and assaulting people within. Police attended and found an intoxicated youth who was the subject of complaint. The youth had an outstanding warrant for their arrest and was arrested and remanded in custody.
Report of an intoxicated person outside of a local hostel refusing to leave. Police attended and gave the person a ride to a sober friend.
Report of people climbing on someone’s roof a few hours ago.
Report of a person breaking into a residence and assaulting a person within. Matter under investigation.
While on patrol, police came into contact with a person breaching court ordered conditions. The person was arrested and released to appear in court at a later date.
March 25
Report of vandalism to a vehicle that occurred overnight.
Report of an online fraud.
Report of a 911 hang up call from a residence. Police attended and all was fine.
Report of a person expressing ideations of self-harm and armed with a weapon. Police came into contact with the person who began confronting police and challenging police to shoot. The person refused to show their hands. The person was tazed and taken into custody. The person did not suffer any injuries. The person was lodged and taken to hospital the following morning.
March 26
Report of a broken window at a residence. Police attended but the person who called did not want police there, even though they called us in the first place…
Report of a person actively hurting themselves in a residence. Police and ambulance attended and came into contact with the person, who was arrested and transported to hospital for medical assistance. The person was later lodged and taken back to hospital when sober.
Report of a person believing they were being followed. Police came into contact with the person, who was very high on an unknown substance. The person could not care for themselves therefore were arrested and lodged.
Report of a single vehicle roll over. Police attended and all occupants were OK.
Report of a person driving irately on a road. Police attended but only found smiling drivers in the area.
While on patrol, police came into contact with an intoxicated person sleeping in an ATM vestibule. The person was arrested and lodged.
Report of an attempted break in to a business on Main Street. Police were able to identify one of the suspects, who was taken into custody the following day. The youth had amassed other charges over the week therefore was remanded in custody.
March 27
Report of broken windows at a residence. Police attended but the caller didn’t want police assistance.
Report of a person being stabbed. Matter under investigation.
Report of an intoxicated person causing issues in a residence. Police attended and arrested and lodged the problem causer.
Police requested to conduct a wellbeing check at a residence. Police attended and everyone was A-OK.
Report of a neighbor dispute. Police attended and mediated a conversation.
Report of an intoxicated person yelling and swearing at the hospital waiting area. Police attended and found the person as described who was arrested and lodged.
Report of two intoxicated people arguing and physically fighting on Main Street. Police attended and located both; one was arrested and lodged in cells and one was driven home.
Reports received of an intoxicated person in a beverage room causing a disturbance. The person then went to the hospital and continued their behavior. They were located, arrested and lodged.
Third party report of an assault in a residence. Police attended and spoke to the occupants who denied any assault taking place. No evidence to the contrary.
Report of a suspicious vehicle driving back and forth between Creighton and Flin Flon. After a thorough investigation, it was learned the driver is a food delivery driver.
