A summary of calls to police from May 23-29, as submitted by Flin Flon RCMP:
May 23
Report of an intoxicated sibling in a residence getting aggressive with people. Police attended and attempted to rehome the person, however when that was unsuccessful, they were arrested and lodged.
Report of an intoxicated person leaving a residence on foot. Caller complained that the person would not make it where they were going. Police intercepted the person and gave them a ride home to a sober family member.
Report of a break and enter to a residence.
Report of yelling being heard from a residence. Police attended and learned a parent and their child got into a yelling match.
Report of a person breaching court ordered conditions. Police attended and found no actual breach occurred.
Report of too many people in a residence as per the public health orders. Police attended and the group dispersed.
Report of a domestic assault. Police attended and arrested an individual who was later released to appear in court at a later date.
Report of an intoxicated person trying to goad people into a fight. Police attended but the person was gone.
Report of an intoxicated person in a residence punching a fridge. Police attended but the fridge fighter was gone.
Report of an intoxicated person sleeping in an ATM vestibule. Police attended and found the person as described who was arrested and lodged.
May 24
Report of an intoxicated person knocking on someone’s door but then returning to their own home.
Report of people fighting in a residence. Police attended but the people were gone.
Report of the panic alarm going off at the hospital. Police attended, but learned it was pushed by accident.
Report of a person stealing liquor from the Liquor Store. Matter under investigation.
Report of a dispute between siblings which escalated into an assault. Police attended and arrested and lodged the aggressor.
Report of an unwanted person banging on the door of a residence. Police attended and found the person, who was arrestable for other investigations, running away. The person was told to stop, as they were under arrest. A brief chase ensued and the person was caught and arrested for resisting arrest amongst other alleged crimes. They were lodged and released the following day to appear in court at a later date.
Report of two people banging on the door of a residence but then left. Police made patrols but could not locate the door bangers.
Report of an intoxicated person who had apparently had a seizure. Police located the person who denied this. They were assessed by EMS, then arrested and lodged.
May 25
Report of a person in medical distress on the road. Police and EMS attended. The person advised they just got tired from walking and took a break. They were given a ride to their destination from there.
Report of a person being locked out of their residence by their siblings.
May 26
Report of a person becoming angry in a local restaurant and throwing items. The employees did not want the person charged.
Report of people being in a residence and not supposed to be there. Police attended and the group dispersed except for one intoxicated person who was passed out on the couch. The person was arrested and lodged.
Report of a person being assaulted by two others. Police were nearby when the call was received, however did not locate any of the people involved.
Report of people fighting in a residence. Police attended and found no evidence to suggest this happened. Caller admitted to being very intoxicated.
May 27
Report of a person being at a store despite being banned from same, possibly having a weapon on them. Police located the person who was advised they were not welcome at the store. The person showed police the weapon, which was actually a spatula in a knife sheath.
Report of a person having been assaulted and requesting an ambulance. Police attended as well, but the victim did not want to press charges against the accused.
While on patrol, police located two people about to engage in fisticuffs. Both were intoxicated and both arrested and lodged.
Report of people kicking at the door of a residence. Police attended but the people were gone.
Report of a fight between siblings which escalated to a knife being pulled and an assault occurring. Police attended and arrested both participants. Neither wanted to cooperate with police the following morning. One person was found to be breaching court ordered conditions, therefore was released to appear in court at a later date.
Report of an intoxicated person “blacking out” in an apartment. Police attended and found the person, who was breaching court ordered conditions. They were arrested, lodged, and later released to appear in court at a later date.
May 28
Report of a possible breach of public health orders.
While on patrol, police came into contact with a very intoxicated person who walked into the side of a building. The person was arrested and lodged.
Report of missing youths. They were located with their babysitter.
Report of dirt bikes driving down a residential street and back lane.
While on patrol, police came into contact with two intoxicated people, both of whom were too intoxicated to care for themselves. Both arrested and lodged.
Report of a person having been stabbed. Police attended the hospital and spoke to the victim, who refused to cooperate. Further investigation revealed it was a fight between siblings that escalated.
Report of intoxicated people at the hospital causing a “ruckus”. The rabble rousers were all sent home.
May 29
Report of a possible domestic assault and someone being forcibly carried into a residence. Police attended and gained entry to the residence. A person was arrested and subsequently resisted arrest. The person was taken into custody, lodged and later released to appear in court at a later date.
Report of an erratic driver. A vehicle matching the description was located and the driver showed signs of impairment. After failing a road side screening device, the driver was arrested and brought to the Flin Flon detachment where they provided two breath samples, both twice over the legal limit. The person was lodged and released the following morning to appear in court at a later date.
Report of an intoxicated person at the Flin Flon hospital having been medically cleared but was too intoxicated to care for themselves. The person was arrested and lodged.
