A summary of calls to police from Jan. 26–Feb. 1, as submitted by Flin Flon RCMP:

 

Jan. 26

Report of an intoxicated person at the hospital medically cleared but becoming combative with staff. Police attended and the person was arrested and lodged.

Report of a group of people bugging pedestrians for money. Police attended and herded the group to another.

While on patrol, police located an intoxicated person too intoxicated to care for themselves. Due to this, the person was arrested and lodged.

Police received a report of a person aggressively asking someone for money then following them when they would not provide the same. Police located the subject of complaint who was arrested and charged for disturbing the peace, uttering threats, mischief and assaulting a police officer. The person was remanded in custody.

 

Jan. 27

Report of damage to a garage door which appeared to be an attempted break and enter.

Report of a person in medical distress. Police were dispatched along with an ambulance as it was first described as an unknown situation.

Report of a dispute between a couple where medication was allegedly stolen.

 

Jan. 28

Report of a couple arguing in front of a local business. Police attended, but the couple appeared to have taken their disagreement elsewhere.

 

Jan. 29

Report of a person sleeping in the hospital waiting area. Police attended and drove the person to a residence to continue their slumber.

Report of person intoxicated falling asleep in a hostel lobby. Police attended and was able to find a sober family member to accept responsibility for the subject of complaint.

Report of intoxicated people passed out in various spots uptown. Police attended and located two subjects of complaint; one was taken to a sober friend’s residence and the other was taken to hospital via ambulance. The person who was taken to hospital was later medically cleared and arrested and lodged.

Report of a trio of intoxicated people stumbling uptown. Police attended but could not locate the group.

Police responded to a report of shots fired and a home invasion. Upon arrival police found the report was unfounded. The complainant had been having a delusion and was taken to hospital for assessment.

 

Jan. 30

Report of a group of people intoxicated and passed out in various spots in and around a business. Police attended and found all three people who were all arrested and lodged.

Report of a person outside a business where staff felt too intimidated to leave. Police attended and shooed the person away.

Report of a driving complaint. The driver was located and sufficiently warned.

Report of an intoxicated person refusing to leave a residence. Police called back the homeowner who advised that the subject of complaint had now left.

Report of an intoxicated person stumbling while walking. Patrols were made and the person was not located.

 

Jan. 31

Report of an open line 911 call where arguing could be heard. Police attended the residence where the cell phone owner resided, but found no cause for alarm.

Report of a dispute between a separating couple in regards to the ownership of a home. Matter was determined to be civil in nature and the couple was advised.

Report of an intoxicated person in a local hostel. Police attended and arrested and lodged the subject of complaint.

Report of an intoxicated person who was medically cleared while at hospital but was too intoxicated to care for themselves. Police located the person a short distance away and they were arrested and lodged.

Report of an intoxicated person passed out in front of a local business. Police attended and found the subject of complaint as described. The person was arrested and lodged.

Report of an intoxicated person stumbling in the street. Police attended and found the person as described, who was arrested and lodged.

Report of a person in medical distress. Police and ambulance attended and the person was transported to hospital via ambulance.

Report of an intoxicated person walking down the middle of the street. Patrols were made but no such person was located.

Report of a suspicious person in the waiting area of the hospital acting strangely. Police attended but the person had already left.

Report of a person cashing a joint cheque that was in their name along with the common law partners then spending the money on things the spouse did not approve of. The complainant was told this is not a police matter.

Report of a person knocking on the window of a residence repeatedly even though the occupants were not there. Police attended and located the person mid knock. The person was found to be intoxicated therefore they were arrested and lodged.

 

Feb. 1

Report of intoxicated person medically cleared from hospital but refusing to leave. Police attended and found the non-patient who was arrested and lodged.

While on patrol, police located a very intoxicated person who was too intoxicated to care for themselves. Police arrested and lodged the person.

Report of a group of people hanging around the ATM vestibule at a local financial institution.

Report of dispute between a couple where one party had been kicked out of the residence and was now kicking at the door. The person causing issues then opted to go to a friend’s residence and no further calls were received.

Report of an intoxicated person passed out on the Ross Street bridge. Police attended and located the person as described who was arrested and lodged.

Report of a person sleeping in the lobby of a local hostel. Police attended but it must have been a power nap as the person was no longer there.

Report of a trio of people hanging out in the old Hospital entrance. Police attended and located one of the people still on scene. They were arrested and lodged.
