A summary of police calls from March 28-April 3, as submitted by Flin Flon RCMP:
March 28
Report of a disturbance in a hotel room. Police attended and arrested and lodged one of the people within.
Report of a person leaving their children with a parent and the grandparent becoming overwhelmed.
Report of an intoxicated person laying in a fetal position outside and vomiting. Police found the person who was taken to hospital, medically cleared, then lodged in cells.
Report of an unwanted intoxicated person in a residence punching walls. Police attended, but the most feared wall fighter in Flin Flon was already gone.
Report of an intoxicated daughter banging on the windows of a residence. Police attended but the person was gone.
Report of a near collision resulting in a rollover on the highway. No injuries to any of the occupants.
Report of an intoxicated person in a residence smashing things. Police attended and located the person who was the smasher, however the homeowner did not want charges laid.
Report of an intoxicated parent in a residence scaring their grandchildren. Police attended and gave the person a ride to their other child.
Report of a break and enter to a residence. Matter under investigation.
Report of an intoxicated person sleeping in an ATM vestibule. Police attended and arrested and lodged the person.
Report of an intoxicated person banging on the door of a residence looking for their partner. Police attended but the person was gone.
Report of children playing in an abandoned car. Police attended and spoke to the children and their parents.
Report of a person attending a residence looking for their partner and after learning they were there, sprayed mace in the residence which affected an adult and two infants. The person was located, arrested and charged with numerous offences. The person was later released, as per Crown’s instructions to appear in court at a later date.
March 29
Report of people being loud in an adjacent apartment to a residence.
Report of damage being done to a residence in an apparent attempt to break in.
March 30
Report of a person yelling at a business owner after having been banned. Police made patrols to look for the person, however they were not located. The person later returned and spray painted the building. The person was located, arrested, and later released to appear in court at a later date.
Report of an ambulance being stuck in the snow. Police attended and drove the patient to another awaiting ambulance.
Report of an intoxicated person drinking on the street. Police attended and found the person who was arrested and lodged.
Report of an intoxicated person yelling at each other in a residence. Police attended and found one person still on scene who was arrested and lodged.
Report of an intoxicated person having been medically cleared at the hospital but was too intoxicated to care for themselves. Police attended and arrested and lodged the person.
Report of a neighbor dispute about loose dogs.
Report of a missing person. Police located the person at their residence, showing they weren’t actually missing.
Report of a person having been assaulted. Follow-up revealed the person had been assaulted and had money stolen from them. The assailant was identified and arrested and charged with robbery. The person was remanded in custody.
Multiple reports from a person requesting an ambulance. Police located the person who was not injured, however they appeared to be high and/or intoxicated. The person was on conditions to abstain from drugs and alcohol, therefore was arrested and lodged.
March 31
Report of an intoxicated person sleeping on a bench. Police attended and found the person as described. The person was arrested and lodged.
Report of an intoxicated person kicking a car. Police attended but couldn’t find the car kicker.
Report of medication being stolen.
Report of an assault. Matter under investigation.
While on patrol, police came into contact with a very intoxicated person who was too intoxicated to care for themselves. Police arrested and lodged the person.
April 1
Third-party report of a break and enter. Police spoke to the homeowner who advised it was only someone knocking on the door.
Police requested to conduct a wellbeing check on a person as they were giving stuff away. Police were later called off stating it was a misunderstanding.
Report of an injured and intoxicated person on the street. The person was transported to hospital and they advised their injuries did not occur in Flin Flon.
While on patrols, police came into contact with a very intoxicated person who was too intoxicated to care for themselves. The person was arrested and lodged.
Report of an intoxicated person causing a disturbance in the ER waiting room. Police attended and found the person as described who was arrested and lodged.
Report of an ex-employee challenging a former coworker to a fight. Matter under investigation.
Report of a sibling in a residence trying to fight people. Police attended and the person was gone however the homeowner was intoxicated and was yelling at police in the presence of a child. The homeowner was arrested and lodged.
April 2
Report of a break and enter to a residence. Matter under investigation.
While on patrol, police came into contact with a very intoxicated person who was too intoxicated to care for themselves. The person was arrested and lodged.
Report of a house fire. Police and fire attended. Fire deemed non-suspicious.
Report of an intoxicated person trashing a residence. Police attended and arrested and lodged the suspect.
Report of a person at a residence who is not supposed to be as per CFS. Police and CFS attended and the person agreed to leave.
April 3
Report of a person being assaulted. Police attended and arrested a person on scene. Matter under investigation.
Report of a person taking another person’s vehicle without their consent. Police spoke to the owner and it was learned they actually did let the person take their vehicle.
Report of siblings fighting in a residence. Police attended but their parents were able to separate the siblings.
Report of a break and enter to a residence.
Report of an intoxicated person stumbling down the street. Police attended but did not locate the person.
Report of an intoxicated person banging on the door of a residence. Police attended but did not locate the person.
Report of an intoxicated person flagging down cars asking the occupants to buy them stuff. Police made patrols but did not locate the person.
