A summary of calls to police from April 18-24, as submitted by Flin Flon RCMP:
April 18
Report of suspicious activity at a residence.
Report of a theft from the liquor store. Matter under investigation
Report of a person stealing another’s winning VLT ticket. The person then returned the ticket, however it was learned they had outstanding warrants for their arrest. The person was arrested on the strength of these warrants.
Report of a person expressing ideations of self-harm.
April 19
Report of a break and enter to a residence. Matter under investigation.
Report of threats being received online. The victim wanted them documented.
Report of a person being chased by a group. Police spoke to the victim who at first didn’t recall calling the police but then remembered and didn’t want anything done.
While on patrol, police came into contact with a person whom they believed had a warrant for their arrest. The person provided a false name at first, but police were able to confirm their identity. The person was arrested and later released to appear in court at a later date.
Report of an intoxicated person screaming at children on the street. Police attended and found a person intoxicated on a combination of drugs and alcohol. The person was arrested and lodged.
Report of a very intoxicated person walking around. Police attended the area and could see the person in the window of their own residence.
Report of loud people in an adjacent residence to the caller..
Report of an intoxicated person having been medically cleared at the hospital but was too intoxicated to care for themselves. Police attended and arrested and lodged the person.
April 20
Report of an intoxicated family member trying to fight other family members in a residence. Police attended and arrested and lodged the person.
Report of young children playing near a roadway unsupervised. Police made patrols but could not locate the kids.
Report of an intoxicated person passed out on the back steps of a business. Police attended and located the person as described. The person was arrested and lodged.
Police requested to conduct a well being check for a concerned friend. The person was located and was fine.
Report of an intoxicated person banging on the door of a residence. Police attended and located the person who was arrested and lodged.
Report of an intoxicated family member causing issues in a household. Police attended and the person ran away, hiding in the bushes. The person was located, arrested and lodged.
Report of an intoxicated person knocking on a door. Police attended and found the person now yelling in the street. The person was arrested and lodged.
Report of arguing and loud noises being heard from an upstairs suite.
April 21
Report of an intoxicated family member who left the residence. The other family member was concerned. The person later returned home unharmed.
Police requested to attend with CFS to a residence as there were six children left alone. Police attended and kept the peace.
Report of a stolen bank card. Matter under investigation.
Report of an intoxicated person passed out in the lobby of a government building. Police attended and located the person as described who was arrested and lodged.
Report of vehicles parked in a school playground. Police attended and all vehicles were moved.
While on patrol, police could hear lots of yelling coming from Main Street. Police attended and found one of the yellers was breaching court conditions. The person was arrested and during the arrest, their friend tried to interfere. The friend was arrested as well. Both were lodged and later released to appear in court at a later date.
Report of an intoxicated patient at the hospital who had been medically cleared but was too intoxicated to care for themselves. The person was arrested and lodged.
Report of an intoxicated person who fell in a ditch. Police retrieved the person who was taken to a sober friend.
While on patrol, police came into contact with an admittedly intoxicated person who had no place to go and wanted to be lodged. The person’s wish was granted.
Report of a person having been assaulted. Police attended and found the victim who denied knowing their attacker. The person was taken to the hospital where they were treated for injuries. Matter under investigation.
April 22
Report of a possible impaired driver. Police located a vehicle matching the suspect description and conducted a traffic stop. Police found open liquor in the vehicle and searched the vehicle. Upon searching same, police found an extendable baton and a large knife concealed in a bag within reach of a passenger. The passenger was arrested and lodged, later released to appear in court at a later date.
Report of intoxicated people arguing over more alcohol. Police attended but did not locate the quarreling duo.
Report of a suspicious vehicle having been parked at a business for a few days.
Report of an intoxicated child smashing their parent’s television then leaving the residence.
April 23
Report of a noisy neighbor making noise.
Report of a missing person who had last been seen in Flin Flon. The person heard they were reported as missing and came to the detachment to show they were fine.
Report of an assault on Main Street. Matter under investigation.
Report of a person walking on a lake which the caller was worried about. The person then made it to shore.
Report of an intoxicated person who had been medically cleared but was too intoxicated to care for themselves. The person was arrested and lodged.
While on patrol, police came into contact with a very intoxicated person who was too intoxicated to care for themselves. The person was arrested and lodged.
April 24
Report of people walking through yards and looking through mailboxes. Police made patrols but could not locate the suspects.
Report of an intoxicated person refusing to leave a residence and throwing things. Police attended and found the person now passed out on a garbage bin. The person was arrested and lodged.
Report of a person knocking on a door.
Report of an intoxicated person who fell and bumped their head. The person was medically cleared and then lodged.
Report of an intoxicated person passed out on the ground. Police attended and located the person as described who was arrested and lodged.
Report of a child who fell off their bike and may have broken their leg. Police and ambulance attended and the child was transported to hospital.
Report of an intoxicated person in a residence throwing food around. The person left prior to police arrival.
