A summary of calls to police made from March 8-14, as submitted by Flin Flon RCMP:
March 8
Report of an intoxicated person not dressed for the weather at a local hotel, stating they could not get home. Police located the subject of complaint along with an equally cold accomplice. Both were given a ride to a residence.
Complaint of a vehicle stuck in someone’s driveway seemingly abandoned. The owner was contacted and the vehicle and it’s owner were reunited. And yes, it was as beautiful as it sounds.
Report of an intoxicated person outside of a residence refusing to leave. Police attended and found the person still on scene. The person was arrested and lodged.
Report of a group of people fighting. One person at the hospital as they claimed to have been bitten. The victim did not want any charges laid, police kept a close eye on the victim during the full moon. Nothing to report.
March 9
Report of a landlord tenant dispute over missed payments and missing items. Matter under investigation.
Report of a snowmobile on fire, however the fire was extinguished when police and fire arrived. Non-suspicious in nature.
March 10
Third party complaint of a dispute between a couple where pushing was involved. Police attended and arrested and lodged the aggressor. The other person involved did not want police to investigate any further.
report of an intoxicated person sleeping in the lobby of a local hostel. Police attended and found the person as described, who was arrested and lodged.
Report of an intoxicated person outside of a local business unable to get to their feet despite friends trying to assist. Police attended and arrested and lodged the subject of complaint.
Report of a couple in a pushing match. Police attended and both stated they had a disagreement and agreed to go their separate ways.
Report of an intoxicated person assaulting a parent. Police attended and learned the assailant had left. The parent did not want charges laid.
March 11
Report of a break and enter to a residence. Police were able to identify a suspect. Charges will be laid when the suspect is in custody.
While on patrol, police were made aware of several intoxicated people causing a disturbance under a parkade. Police attended and took four suspects into custody.
Report of a suspicious person wandering the hospital then locking themselves in the bathroom. The person then left the hospital. Patrols were made and the suspect was not located.
Report of an intoxicated youth trying to fight another youth. Police attended and located the feisty youth who was arrested and lodged despite their protests.
Report of a dispute between intoxicated roommates both wanting the other to be removed from their own residence. Police attended and sent both to their rooms, effectively grounding the same. No further calls received.
March 12
Report of a 911 hang up call. Investigation revealed it was a misdial.
Report of a 911 hang up call. Investigation revealed it was a child playing with the phone. The child apologized. Apology was accepted.
Report of a person breaching their no contact order. The subject of complaint was later located and arrested and released on a pending future court date.
Report of an intoxicated person in the lobby of a hostel. Police attended and found the person as described. Checks showed this person was on court ordered conditions to abstain from alcohol and to not have contact with another person they were with. The person was arrested, charged and remanded in custody.
Report of person intoxicated in the lobby of a local hostel. Police attended and located the person who was too intoxicated to care for themselves. The person was arrested and lodged
Report of a group of intoxicated people outside a local business. Police attended and found only one person in the group remained. The person was arrested and lodged.
Report of an intoxicated person attempting to steal items from a local store. Police attended and located the person attempting to get into a recycling bin. The daring escape was foiled and the person was arrested and lodged.
While on patrol, police located a very intoxicated person staggering between vehicles. The person was arrested and lodged for their own safety.
Report of an intoxicated person passed out behind a residence. Police attended and located the person as described who was arrested and lodged.
March 13
Report of a verbal dispute where a person felt threatened by the subject of complaint. No threats were actually uttered.
A telemarketer called reporting while on the phone with a respective client they heard a disturbance in the background. Police attended and found that it was only a verbal argument.
Report of people fighting within a residence - however when police arrived, all participants had left and all was calm.
Report of a couple fighting on the street. Police located both participants who were now separated. Both stated it was only a verbal fight and agreed to stay away from one another.
Report of an intoxicated person passed out in the waiting area of the hospital. Police attended and found the person as described who was arrested and lodged in cells.
Report of an intoxicated walking in the middle of the road. The person reportedly then got a ride somewhere.
Report of unwanted people in a residence. Police attended and the people were still there and they were still unwanted. Police arrested both and made them feel welcome in cells.
Report of two intoxicated people sleeping in an ATM vestibule. Police attended and found the subjects of complaint who were awoken, arrested and lodged.
March 14
Report of a “loser” refusing to leave a residence - however when police arrived the “loser” got lost
Open line 911 call where an argument could be heard over a beer.
Report of an intoxicated person leaving a local vendor driving. Police later dispatched to a scene of a single vehicle collision involving the same vehicle. The driver was located on scene and was arrested for impaired operation. The driver then refused to provide breath samples. The driver was lodged in cells and released for a future court date.
Report of a person assaulting a cab driver outside of a local bar. Matter is under investigation.
Report of a group of people yelling while in public. Police attended, located the group and told them to scram.
Report of two people coming to a residence asking for a smoke then walking in. The caller only wanted it reported to police and did not want police to attend.
Report of a patient walking out of the hospital before being seen.
Report of two intoxicated people causing a disturbance at a local hostel. Police attended and located both as described.
Report of an intoxicated person passed out on the steps of a residence. Police attended and located the passed out person who was arrested and lodged.
