A summary of police calls from May 17-23, as submitted by Flin Flon RCMP:

 

May 17

Report of a vehicle ripping down Main Street at a high rate of speed. Police located the vehicle parked after the call was received and the driver was given a stern talking to.

Report of an intoxicated person sleeping in front of a local business. Police attended and found the person as described. The person was arrested and lodged.

Report of a 911 hang up call. Police called back and learned someone was in need of an ambulance. The call was forwarded to ambulance dispatch.

Report of an allegation of a breach of a no contact order, however investigation revealed no breach occurred.

Report of a youth having injured themselves while riding a dirt bike. The youth was transported to hospital for precautionary reasons.

Report of a fight involving several people. Police attended and made contact with one of the participants, a youth, who was subsequently arrested. During the arrest, the youth resisted and threatened police. The youth was lodged and later released on a future court appearance.

Report of an intoxicated youth not wanted at a residence and then heading to another residence where they were also not wanted. Police made patrols and could not find the youth.

 

May 18

Report of suspicious people in a back alley near vehicles. Police made patrols but did not find anyone in the area.

Report of a residence holding a party all day and the caller believed children were present. Police attended and the children were not present, nor was there a party ongoing.

While on patrol, police located a very intoxicated person stumbling around the street. The person was too intoxicated to care for themselves, therefore was arrested and lodged.

Report of a break and enter to a residence. Police attended and spoke to the occupants who were home who did not cooperate with the police investigation.

Report of a person having overdosed at a residence. Police and ambulance attended and the person was transported to hospital.

Report of a person having attended a residence and not being wanted at same. Police attended and the person had left prior to police arrival.

Report of an unknown situation at a residence. Police attended and no need for police presence, just a lot of confusion and a lot of drinking.

Report of a fight outside of a residence. When police arrived the fight was over and the combatants were already gone.

Report of an intoxicated person walking down the street. Police patrolled but could not locate the subject of complaint.

 

May 19

Report of person at hospital having been medically cleared but too intoxicated to care for themselves. Police attended and provided the person a ride home.

Report of people getting into an altercation and brandishing steak knives during the altercation. The groups scattered away. Patrols were made and none of the barbecue enthusiasts were located.

Report of a person not complying with self-quarantining guidelines. The matter is being looked into further.

Report of an intoxicated person sitting in the doorway of a business. Police attended and found a very intoxicated person in the spot the caller described. The person was arrested and lodged.

Report of an intoxicated person no longer wanted at a residence. Police attended and found the person still on scene, very intoxicated, known to have an outstanding warrant and breaching their court ordered conditions. The person was arrested, lodged and later appeared before a judge before they were ultimately charged and released.

Report of a person assaulting another person and smashing their windows. Police attended and located the subject of complaint still on scene. The subject of complaint was taken into custody, lodged and later released to face a future court date.

Report of triad of intoxicated people sleeping on various pieces of furniture in a backyard. Police attended, wrangled up all three and lodged all.

 

May 20

Police were asked to assist with a child welfare complaint as a caller felt a child was at a party. Police attended and found the complaint was unfounded.

Report of an intoxicated person expressing ideations of self-harm. Police located the subject of complaint was arrested and lodged until sober so that they could be properly assessed.

Report of an intoxicated person passed out in front of a financial institution. Police attended and located the person as described.

Report of an emergency call that was hung up in the queue. Police called the person back, who was phoning to ask a question.

Report of an intoxicated person in a convenience store parking lot, pushing carts and relieving themselves on the side of the building. Police attended and found the person still on scene who was arrested and lodged.

Report of a missing youth who had snuck out their window. Police located the youth who was returned home.

 

May 21

Report of an intoxicated person having been medically cleared by the hospital but was too intoxicated to care for themselves. Police attended and drove the person to a residence where there were sober persons willing to care for them.

Report of a disturbance coming from an apartment. Police attended and learned the person causing the problem had already left.

Report of an intoxicated person knocking on a door of a residence. Police attended and made patrols but could not locate the person the caller described.

Report of a person standing in the lobby of the hospital and refusing to leave. Police attended and the person had now left.

Report of a party at a residence but when police arrived the party was already over.

Report of people smoking drugs and drinking alcohol near the hospital. Police attended and located three people impaired by various vices. All were arrested and lodged.

Report of a person with an axe at someone’s residence. Police attended and made patrols but could locate the axeman. In speaking with the complainant and witnesses, it was not clear whether there was an axe or not.

 

May 22

Report of a disturbance from a residence. Police attended and found a couple arguing however nothing criminal happened.

Police conducted a traffic stop and located a person who had a warrant out of their arrest. The person was arrested and searched and police located a very large amount of cash on the wanted person. The money was seized pending an investigation into how the accused obtained the same.

Report of two intoxicated people walking along the highway. Police found both who were given a ride home.

While on patrol, police located two very intoxicated people stumbling down the street. Both were arrested and lodged.

Report of fighting from within a residence. Police attended and found less than 10 people in the residence all getting along.

Report of a possible fire near a propane tank in an apartment complex. Police, fire and ambulance attended and found everything was fine.

 

May 23

Report of an intoxicated person returning home but not being wanted there by the other occupants. Police attended and the person was nowhere to be found.

Report of a person having fallen and hit their head and is now unconscious. Police and ambulance attended and located the person who was taken to hospital. Later on, a second call was received of the same thing except at a different location. Same people. Same results.

While on patrol, police located a person out past their court ordered curfew. The person was arrested, lodged and later released on a future court date.
