A summary of calls to police from Feb. 21-27, as submitted by Flin Flon RCMP:
Feb. 21
Report of a person leaving the hospital after being told they had to be admitted. The person was located and transported to the hospital.
Report of a person expressing ideations of self-harm. Police attended and located the person who was taken into custody then brought to hospital.
Report of a person breaching their no-contact conditions. The person was located, arrested and later released to appear in court at a later date.
Report of an intoxicated person laying on the sidewalk. Police attended and arrested the person who then resisted. After the person was taken into custody, they advised they were just joking when they resisted. Everyone shared a hearty laugh and the person was lodged in cells.
Report of a person taking another’s phone, then returning it after they were threatened. Reported for information purposes.
Report of an impaired driver. Police attended and found the impaired person in care and control of their vehicle. The person was arrested and taken to the detachment, where they provided samples over twice the legal limit. The person was released to appear in court at a later date.
Report of an intoxicated person at the hospital having been medically cleared but was too intoxicated to care for themselves. Police attended and arrested and lodged the person.
Report of a possible impaired driver. Police made patrols but did not locate the vehicle.
Feb. 22
Report of a person attempting to break into a residence, then leaving when the homeowner said they were calling police.
Report of a person passed out in an ATM vestibule. Police attended and found a person who was not so intoxicated they could not care for themselves. They were woken up and sent on their way.
Report of an intoxicated person in a residence becoming aggressive with the people within. Police attended and arrested and lodged the person.
Report of a disturbance in a residence. Police and found intoxicated people far too intoxicated to be caring for children. The children had been dropped off by their parent, who was later also found intoxicated and made insinuations of self-harm. The parent was arrested and lodged.
Feb. 23
Report of an intoxicated person sleeping in an ATM vestibule. Police attended and located the person as described who was arrested and lodged.
Report of an intoxicated person in a residence expressing ideations of self-harm. The person was located and arrested and lodged as they were too intoxicated to be properly assessed at the hospital.
Report of people arguing loudly in an apartment suite. Police attended and spoke to the occupants, who were now getting along. They were told to keep the noise down.
Report of an intoxicated couple arguing on the street. Police attended and spoke to both - an adult and a youth - who advised that the argument was only verbal. The adult was given a ride home and the youth who was involved was arrested and lodged, as they had no sober person to care for them.
Feb. 24
Report of an intoxicated person rolling around in the snow. Police attended and found the person as described who was arrested and lodged.
Report of an intoxicated person in the ER waiting room yelling and being disrupting before leaving. Police made patrols for the person, however they were not located.
Report of a person stealing items from a store on Main Street. Police located the person, who was told they were under arrest. A foot chase ensued and the person was arrested and lodged. The person was later released to appear in court at a later date.
While on patrol, police located an intoxicated person sleeping in an ATM vestibule. The person was arrested and lodged.
Feb. 25
Report of a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was located a short time later with no damage.
Report of a person having harmed themselves. Police attended and took the person to hospital where they were treated medically, however they were too intoxicated to be property assessed. The person was lodged in cells and taken back to the hospital when sober.
Report of an intoxicated person refusing to leave a hostel and becoming aggressive with staff. The person was arrested and lodged.
Report of a domestic assault. The assaulter was located, arrested and lodged. The person was later released to appear in court at a later date.
Report of a patient at the hospital becoming aggressive with staff. The patient then calmed down and was able to be treated.
Police requested to attend a residence with am ambulance for a person who had been assaulted. The person was transported to hospital, where they were treated and flown to Winnipeg for non-life threatening injuries. Matter is under investigation.
Report of an armed robbery against a group of people. A 15-year-old person robbed a group of people for their alcohol while brandishing a machete. The youth was located, arrested and charged with robbery with a weapon, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and carrying a concealed weapon. The youth was remanded in custody.
Feb. 26
Report of a person being witnessed rummaging through a vehicle. Police made patrols but could not locate the person.
Police requested to conduct a well-being check on a person to see if they made it to another community. Police made contact with the person in the other community and they were safe.
Report of an intoxicated person kicking at the door of a residence. The person left while the caller was on the phone with police.
Report of a semi driving down Main street with its back doors open, causing damage to several vehicles. Matter under investigation.
Report of intoxicated people in a residence needing to be removed. Police attended and the subjects of complaint removed themselves.
Report of an intoxicated person knocking on the door of a residence. The person then left.
Report of an intoxicated person looking after a youth. Police attended and found there was a sober person in the residence caring for the youth.
Feb. 27
Report of an intoxicated youth causing problems in a residence. Police attended and arrested and lodged the problem causer.
Report of people walking on Main Street looking suspicious. Police made patrols and saw people, but did not share the same opinion.
Report of an intoxicated person on a bus passed out. Police attended and found the person as described who was arrested and lodged.
Report of an intoxicated person passed out in an ATM vestibule. The person was located, arrested and lodged.
Report of a person expressing ideations of self harm to a friend online. Police attended and spoke to the person, who stated they did not mean they said.
Police requested to check on a residence for possible burglars. Police attended and none were found.
Report of an intoxicated person posting ideations of self-harm. The person was located but was too intoxicated to be properly assessed, therefore they were lodged in cells and taken to the hospital when sober.
Report of a person laying in the road. Police attended and found it was teenagers who had slipped.
Report of an assault at a residence. Police attended and arrested a youth who was lodged. The victim later did not wish to participate in the investigation.
