A 22-year-old woman has been arrested by Flin Flon RCMP after attempting to use bug spray to hold up two businesses.

RCMP were called to a business on Highway 10A Oct. 11 at 8:30 a.m. receiving a report of an armed robbery. A female suspect entered the business with her face covered and attempted to use the bug spray to steal money from an employee. When the employee refused to cooperate, the assailant left with nothing.

Moments later, the same suspect entered a second business nearby and attempted, once again, to use bug spray to intimidate an employee into opening the till. After threatening to spray, then trying to grab money from the cash register, the suspect once again left empty-handed.

Police later arrested Alexis Chung-Saunders of Flin Flon and charged her with two counts of robbery and two counts of disguise with intent to commit an offense.

Chung-Saunders was remanded into custody and made her first court appearance Oct. 15.
