Volleyball Canada is searching for a new head coach for its indoor men's team.

The organization announced Wednesday it has parted ways with coach Ben Josephson.

Canada finished 17th at the most recent world championships after being eliminated in the opening round of competition.

It was a short tenure for Josephson, who just took over the team in April.

The team is currently ranked 15th in the world and aims to improve on its standing as it works towards the 2024 Olympics.

Josephson was on leave from his head coaching position at Trinity Western University where he won national titles in 2011, 2012, 2016, 2017 and 2019. He also led the team to 11 U Sports championship tournament appearances.
