A female Atom festival was put on by Hockey Manitoba in Winnipeg on December 29, 2007, at the MTS Centre.Ê Hockey Manitoba selected 120 girls across Manitoba, 16 of whom are goalies. Jessica Campbell of Flin Flon was one of the goalies selected.Ê They were placed on eight teams and given a chance to play with girls of different caliber of hockey throughout the province.Ê Jessica played her two games and got a shut out in both. She was given a 45 minute hockey school or development session with Sami Jo Small of Team Canada. Also present were Jennifer Botterill and Delaney Collins of our womenÕs Team Canada.Ê The girls received a free autographed Team Canada jersey, autographs, and a tour of the MTS Centre. Jessica presently plays Atom AA boys plus Atom A girls and is an AP for the peewee girls team.
