Young fastball players in the Flin Flon area had a very successful weekend last Friday, Saturday and Sunday, capturing the Manitoba Provincial 'A' championships in both the Squirt and Pee-Wee divisions. In games played at Centoba Park, the Flin Flon Squirt Mustangs won all of their games in a double round robin tournament against teams from Fisher River and Peguis which gave them the Provincial crown. The Flin Flon Pee-Wee Mustangs won all of their games in a single round robin format against teams from Fisher River, Peguis and Dryden. This put them into a final playoff game against Dryden, which Flin Flon won by a score of 6-5 to capture the Provincial Championship.
