Teslyn Anderson of Flin Flon accepted an $1,000 at the 2009 Credit Union Scholar/Athlete Awards recently at Government House in Winnipeg. While maintaining an academic average of over 90 per cent, Anderson was able to compete in a variety of sports at Hapnot Collegiate. Three other students across the province accepted the honour as well. To qualify for the award, students must compete in at least two interscholastic sports and maintain an 85 per cent average. Each winner received a $1,000 scholarship.
