The Yorkton Terriers earned the Canalta Cup on home ice with a 4-3 win over the Humboldt Broncos on Sunday. The series went to six games as Game 5 on Saturday saw the teams battle it out in three overtime periods before Yorkton notched the 2-1 win. Sunday saw Yorkton down the Broncos by scoring the winning goal in the third period in a closely-fought game. The Terriers will now advance to challenge the winner of the MJHL final. In that series, the Dauphin Kings and Steinbach Pistons were tied 2-2 after the weekend action. The Kings hosted Game 5 of the series Monday night with Game 6 scheduled for tonight in Steinbach.
