Jacqui Spence of the Hapnot Kopper Kweens Soccer Team was recently named Tri-Star Rural High School Athlete of the Week. At the recent Rural Soccer championships, this grade 12 goalie led her team to a fifth place finish, where she was voted to the all star team. Except for one loss at the championships, she was unbeaten all season. "Jacqui has shown that hard work, commitment to the team and practice is rewarded by victory," says Coach Don Kirkham. "As a goalkeeper, Jacqui is exceptional, as a person she is also a leader both on and off the field." Spence also competes in Basketball, Volleyball, Badminton and Track and Field.
