After raising the spectre of folding last month, the Weyburn Red Wings appear to be in a healthier position.
Red Wings president Larry Tribiger tells the Regina Leader-Post that it’s unlikely the venerable franchise will pack it in any time soon.
“I’m sure this won’t be the last season,” he said. “I can’t see the Weyburn Red Wings going anywhere. Just from [a recent] town-hall meeting, the community won’t let this team fold. They just won’t let it happen. But I guess there’s no guarantee in anything.”
